Leg cramps

Greetings,

I’m 21weeks pregnant and for the last couple of weeks I’ve been woken up by strong leg cramps, specially my left side.

Had one day that I had to limp due to the pain and muscle cramp.

I tried, warm bath to the leg, used a feet massager with vibrations, massage with essential oil, sleep with a pillow underneath.

Any remedies that have worked for anyone of you?

Thank you

tonic water helped me - I think the quinine in it helps. I had one every day and it stopped my cramps. I’ve heard magnesium supplements work but didn’t do it myself so not sure x

Hi! I had painful cramps in one of my legs (right one for me) during my pregnancy too. I was told that eating bananas helps because they contain magnesium. I think they did help a bit. The cramps nearly disappeared in the third trimester.
