Low carb high fat lunch
The little pancake couldn’t be easier: whisk a large egg with a tbsp of ground almonds. Melt tiny bit of butter in a small frying pan, pour in mixture and lightly fry on both sides for a few minutes. Here I’ve served it with mixed salad and a dollop of cream cheese.

Advice appreciated :)
Hi everyone again, hope you are all well :) Here are my latest results after increasing my levo dose from 100 to 111 (100 4xweek and 125 3xweek). I got a big change in numbers. I´m sleeping now. Gluten free diet for three months now, trying to improve ferritin which was 27, although doing that on

Peak flow readings
Good morning all. I’ve recently been diagnosed with Heart Failure and I’ve been asked to use a peak flow meter to check my lungs. Over the last week my average is around 575 (I’m a 6ft - 68 years old- male). I think this is ok and shows my breathlessness is caused by my Heart Failure. My question is

Monitoring Your Biomarkers
I am still working my way through the new book [i]

Almost a year and still no diagnosis, don't know what to do
Last year I started to have bouts of breathlessness which I've never had before (27m) this stemmed into coughing up sticky pale yellow strings or chunks, as gross as it sounds, since then I undertook a peak flow test, I took home a device, which was inconsistent, I was given both types of inhaler with

Weight loss has stopped
I’m a little confused, I started LCHF nearly 3 weeks ago ( I’m using recipes from the fast 800 recipe book) and have nearly lost a stone. This week my weight has stayed the same and I have lost nothing. I’ve been measuring my ketones and they are fine. Help? Any ideas? I’m still classed as overweight

Getting worse
I have suffered with ibs for many years. I was diagnosed over 20 years ago. Recently things have been getting worse, especially since having my appendix removed in 2018. I have recently had more explorations done, to rule out anything more serious. I've realised that my diet needs looking at regularly

Would you dare admit to “going freestyle”??
I know there is a valiant effort made by everyone here to support each person’s right to make their own medical decisions. I really like that. I also notice that most people here advocate following a medical doctor’s advice, which is almost always taking DMTs (Disease Modifying Therapies aka pharmaceuticals

This question probably has more relevance to a very
low
protein

diet
regime, but is relevant, I imagine, to anyone who wants to manage their diets closely/anally retentively/creatively. I came across Nutritics.com.

Bicalutamide failed... in spectacular fashion.
[Additionally, I decided to try a very-

diet
for the past four weeks, after many months of high-protein SAD. Not sure if or how that impacted any of these numbers. Other than low BUN, which could be from that diet, all my numbers were in range.

Does anyone use a peak flow meter
I’m completely baffled. I had an Echocardiogram 2 weeks ago. Had a Triple Bypass and Mitral Valve Repair 18 months ago. Last September getting more & more breathless and dizzy. Appointment with cardiologist cancelled in January. Collapsed in March. Hospital for 3 days - discharged with Heart Failure

Good morning and thank you for all you do. On January 28th my oncologist said I had prostate cancer and needed to have a prostatectomy within 3 months. My Gleason score is 3+3=6, my biopsy should 2 positive samples out of 12 with less then 2% in one and less then 10 % in another. My PSA previously was

I was diagnosed with gallstones 20 yrs ago. My gp at the time basically told me that we've all got them and to suck it up. I've been a low fat diet ever since. But I'm still in pain round my right side with referred pain in my right shoulder and every so often I have days of being sick etc. I've a new

Amlodipine question
Does anyone know if amlodipine can be taken on an ad hoc need-to basis as opposed to a once-daily therapy? My mom's BP is largely stable on a very low sodium diet, and only spikes if we go off track. Thank you.

Does being Vegan eliminate Endo pain?
Anyone heard of Dr. Neal Barnard, Author of Your Body in Balance: The New Science of Food, Hormones, and Health?? He seems to claim going Vegan along with a low fat diet can eliminate Endometriosis. Has anyone tried this? Or have you had good results by becoming vegetarian as a start?
