Diet....
Hi. I know this will sound odd, but here goes. I’ve just had a couple of stents fitted and been diagnosed with unstable Angina. I have no problem changing my diet to low salt, low sugar, wholemeal/wholegrain, no red meat or processed food and getting plenty of exercise. What I stupidly don’t know is

Single mastectomy with implant reconstruction
Hi. I’m wondering if there is anyone on here who has undergone a single mastectomy with implant reconstruction who would be willing to share their experience post op and beyond? I am due to undergo this procedure, and am particularly keen to know how it is living with one natural breast and one reconstructed

Elevated ALT + GGT caused by Keto / Low Carb ?
For the past few years my LFT readings for ALT+GGT have been slightly raised with no obvious reasons. I’ve had ultrasounds, CT scan, Fibrosis score, detailed blood test etc and the doctor doesn’t know why this is going on. I decided to review my diet and take action to reduce my BMI (30+) following my

Pain in ribs on my back and peak flow is down
Since last night, I have had pain in my ribs on my back where my chest is and I've checked my peak flow tonight and it's down from 350 to around 230. My ribs are also sore on my front as well. I am unsure on whether this is my asthma trying to flare up or what. I can't talk to my doctor's as they don't

More on SAD and keto
I haven’t had a problem with alcohol, just the standard American diet ie SAD diet. It’s pretty standard in keto world that HDL goes up and triglycerides go down. When you go low carb you almost invariably go high fat. Thus it would seem to me to lower the saturated fat in blood plasma keto is the way

Help with my results
Hi Friends, I got my results back today and i've attached below. Doctor sad i'm a bit low and to up my Levo... to 125 from 100. She'll also send my results to an endocrinologist and see what they recommend, this could take awhile. I was hoping that someone would be able to help me understand my results

Should I reduce or stop my running? - low peak flow and low oximetry readings recently & after running
I've recently been running more and more in preparation for a half marathon. However, my peak flow has dropped and I've been taking more ventolin and more becotide inhalors. I'm male 5'7'' 44yo and my good peak flow is about 450 but the best I've blown in the last year is about 430. Good for me is

Hi everyone! I have eosinophilic asthma and was discharged by my consultant last year and to go back to him if things get out of control again. Going back to seretide?
I’ve just been asked in for my annual review and want to ask the nurse if I can go back to seretide. I came off it a few years ago when there was some research about increased risk of pneumonia as I have mild bronchiectasis. I’ve tried quite a few alternatives and have been on flutiform for a couple

Breathlessness
I’ve had a call from my cardiologist who has said my echo came back with good results. (Triple Bypass and Mitral Valve Repair 18 months ago) Diagnosed with Heart Failure weeks ago. Slight MV leak). My peak flow readings are around 600. The Cardiologist said that he thought my breathlessness is likely
