Blood test results. Any help appreciated. :)
Hi, a little help please? I have Hashimotos, and have had tolerable carpel tunnel for years. Things stepped up a few weeks ago and pretty sure it was cubital tunnel. Naproxen prescribed for the pain and discomfort and a full blood “MOT” done, but it’s come back pretty normal... Raised ESR, Serum C

Lowering carbs
I've been reading a lot about LCHF and keto and there are some interesting ideas there. I'm a bit too old and set in my ways for a complete dietary change involving giving up all of my favourite foods. But I wonder if there are any relatively easy changes one can make to lower carbs without going all

6 month gluten free trial
Hello! I just was wondering how other people managed a gluten free diet when others in the house eat gluten? I (finally!) went gluten free about 3 weeks ago but I'm really struggling with cross contamination so I don't think I've actually been properly gluten-free at all. 🤔 I was just looking for

Does heat increase blood glucose levels?
This is my first summer since being diagnosed. Since diagnosis I have been on low carb and have lost a lot of weight. As a result most days my readings are in the region of 5.5. Today I have eaten the same food as in previous months but my bg has gone up to 9.1. I have been drinking a lot of water

Newbie post - unexplained prediabetes.
For over two years I have had prediabetic HbA1c test results, creeping upwards from 43mmol/mol in a routine test in May 2018 to 47 at the last test (just before lockdown in March). 48 will indicate diabetes. After the first test result I bought a blood glucose monitor and, whilst, thoroughly researching

Anyone not following LCHF
Is it just me? It is clear that not everyone on this site is following the same diet; there are maintainers and there are dieters following different guidelines to maintain or lose weight. Yet, I am left with the feeling that if I do not support and adhere to a LCHF diet, then I am …. I am not quite

Low carbs bread?
Update: I tried it this morning, I add a pic. I like it, not for a daily basis, but for once in a while it's ok 😊 Hello! I hope everyone is having a great Sunday! I've searched low carbs bread and I've seen a recipe to cook in a mug in 90 seconds 😮 I'm sure many of you have tried I can tell me about

Deterioration in digestive health
Over the past few months I feel my digestive and overall health has deteriorated. I am 58 have been diagnosed as coeliac for 3 years. I follow a strict gluten free diet. I have lost weight recently and now have a normal BMI. Always very careful. I have terrible burping, reflux, a feeling of tightness

Hi another question from me as I’m new to this, hope everyone is well. I’m not seeing the GP til the 26th so just thought I’d ask some more advice. My Gp has given me a peak flow meter, prednisolone for 7 days and a ventolin inhaler. I predominately spoke about shortness of breath in the first appointment

Uniphyllin side effects
Hi, I’ve just been taking Uniphyllin Continus for a week -200mg am and pm. It seems to have finally stabilised my peak flow but the side effects are a real pain. About an hour after I take it (excuse the details) I get diarrhoea for 2 or 3 hours! I’ve tried taking it on an empty stomach, taking it after

Proton Therapy after Robotics and PSA
Radiologist advised against proton radiation therapy because his last PSA was <.1. His oncologist thinks radiation is indicated unless <.05. What lab has PSA testing that is this precise? He was Stage 3 Prostate Cancer.

Test results, following up from a month ago
Hello. I posted on here a month ago asking for advice before an endo appointment. I was feeling very poorly - a lot of joint pain, brain fog, falling over, dizzy, ears ringing etc. Your advice was really helpful, thank you. I ended up having levothyroxine increased from 50 to 75mcg, liothyrinine

New to forum, need a bit of help
Hi I have just joined this Asthma forum, hope all are well. Just wondering if anybody has any advice please. Apologies if it’s a silly question😊. I have had breathlessness especially on exertion for a few months now, possibly post Covid symptoms from May. (I got a tight chest now and then before that
