Hi I have posted on here about my overuse of Salbutamol and my GP practice asthma nurse wanting to stop it! Big red flag and a lot of stress for me. Anyway long story short agreed to further investigations and tests. Peak flow best is 250 - 200 I feel ok on this with help of salbutamol in the day.

What to try next for my thyroid (+ to get pregnant)??
Hello everyone! I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 2018 at age 38 as part of my fertility investigations (we have been trying to conceive since 2016). Then in 2019 I tested my antibodies and discovered it was Hashimoto's. When I first started measuring my antibodies in 2019, the TPO varied from

Quick, vegetarian lchf lunch
I’ve just made this pancake, which is so quick to make and delicious, so thought I’d share. Beat a large egg in a bowl, add 1 heaped tbsp ground almonds and some grated Cheddar. Melt a knob of butter in a small frying pan and fry for a few minutes each side. Here I’ve served it with some samphire and

Update on tapering, plantar fasciitis and kefir.
Following the helpful advice from DL , PMR Pro and others 4 mths ago I increased my pred to 11mg per day in early September for 1 week, then dropped to10mg for 1 week and 9mg for 2 weeks and finally back to 8.5mg, the dose I had been comfortable on. I was doing well but plantar fasciitis kicked in.

Overlooked for vaccine, apparently not vulnerable !
My husband has eosinophilic asthma, takes fostair 200/6, montelukast, flixonaise and more. He has just finished a course of prednisone. He went to Dr last week and asked about vaccine and was told that because he hasn't had a hospital admission in the past 3 months he wasn't classed as severe so

Test results and more questions than answers!
Hi I am hoping one of you more experienced people can help me move forward with my medication. I am currently on 75mcg Levo and 30mcg T3. I am greatly improved especially mentally - much calmer and no anxiety or feelings of panic. My weight has stopped piling on may even be reducing a wee bit - I no

Tips for dealing with Drs who don't get peak flow is personal...
I've finally got my (re-)referral appointment tomorrow but unfortunately with the same doctor who told me I needed to reduce my meds as my peak flow was too high 🤦🏻♀️, this was despite needing ventolin a few times a week and having quite large daily and day to day variability in my peak flow. She

Swede & carrot fritters
Hi everyone and here’s a pic of tonight’s tea. I made the fritter idea up and although they fell apart a bit, they were well yummy. Chop half a swede and 3 medium carrots into small chunks, steam for about ten minutes then mash with butter. Stir in a fried onion, a large egg and a handful of grated cheddar

Does dehydration cause kidney disease or does kidney disease cause dehydration?
Hi, I have been having problems now for a couple of years , had tons of tests done (including diabetes, thyroid and Sjogren's - all negative), latterly bloods showing my kidney function is declining . I have a constantly dry mouth (feels burnt and taste is tainted), digestive problems, and itchy dry

Very confused !
I have recently restarted the lchf diet and have been doing a lot of research during the course of which I came across a site called Healthline . In the article I was reading they were discussing why some people don’t lose weight using low - carb diets . Two of the reasons were ‘ eating too many calories

EIB/Asthma not normal symptoms
Anybody out there who has been diagnosed with Exercise induced Asthma but does not have any of the normal symptoms ie wheezing, shortness of breath or tightness of chest. I just become strained inside and my peak flow goes down to about 450.

One step forward, two steps back
Well, after reducing prednisolone from 40 to 20mg, then having to go back to 25mg as my peak flow dropped, I’m now back on 30mg for at least one or two weeks! The gp has spoken to the respiratory team at the hospital and they say they wouldn’t do anything different at the moment ☹️. On top of that,
