Immunological Markers
Hi all, I've received a confusing letter after my last frustrating consultant appointment. The consultant states that my Immunological Markers show that I don't need to be on high dose steroids. What markers are these? The only blood tests I've had done whilst in this flare was when I was also on pred

Still in the unknown
Hi everyone, I've made two posts before here but I am still having issues and not sure what to do. I don't want to annoy anyone so apologies if this does in anyway. Long story: I've been suffering on/off with light headed / loss of vision(rare) / sweating(sometimes I sweat for no reason under arms) /

STEROID LENGHT
Hi All, just looking for some advise and other people’s experiences. I was diagnosed with asthma in January 2019 at at 54 after a bout of pneumonia. I’ve managed it very well over the past 2 years using antihistamine, Relvar Elipta and Montelukast. I became so well that I stopped taking the montelukast

Hola. My asthma has been well under control...then Spring hit! Now I cannot say that I amstruggling to breathe...but...my lungs feel so inflamed! I think it is the pollen! Started on March 24th and each day since then, its been up and down. Still on same dose. My 02 sats are 100. And no medication dose

Itchy burning face, ears, neck
Just over a week ago I started having watery diarrhoea. Have now spoken to my GP and taken a stool sample for analysis but thankfully it is now clearing up. Don't know whether its connected but the skin on my face is burning, very itchy especially when in bed or warm. Its on my face down my neck,

VitaminD levels & magnesium
I was just wondering if many of you have checked your Vit D levels. I assumed that taking Vitcal D for the last 6 years my levels would be good. When I’ve had bloods done they have never included Vit D. So I sent off to Medicheck and was surprised when the results came back at the low end at 60.7. So

W6R1 Weird Smell
Just got back from my W6R2 of C25K and had a weird smell in my nostrils. Googled it and it’s amonia which means I’m burning protein! I’m on a low carb diet. Any ideas of what I should eat before a run to avoid this? The run was fab though 👍🏻

Hello All I hope this finds you as well as can be. I am looking for advice from anyone who is/has been in the same situation as me. Vitamin D going down while on loading dose
Hi everyone, I'm 32 years old with hashimotos. I take 100mcg levothyroxine daily. I've always struggled with getting to an ideal vitamin D level (which I believe it very common in people with hashimotos and other autoimmune diseases), and take a pretty high supplement of 5,000iu daily. However I noticed

A wee observation
I started a low carb Keto diet in August. Some ups and downs but I’ve lost 2 stones in weight. I’ve reduced to 7.5mg pred. It’s not been easy. But I’m starting to see my face again. However, I’ve just had a high carb weekend of excess and boy does my body know it. I’ve just spent most of the day in

Arythmia/irregular heartbeat and peak flow
Has anyone had arythmia? I think mine is being brought on by the fostair. Also a symptom of arythmia (irregular heartbeat) can be breathless and fatigue. Would your peak flow still drop if your breathlessness was a heart issue and not an asthma issue. I’ve been saying my asthma has changed this last

Late asthma diagnosis + regular low peak flow
Hi all, hope you are well. I was diagnosed with asthma last year just after the pandemic kicked off, as such it's been quite an isolating experience getting support. It started off with me getting chest tightness, in particular at night, as well as wheezing. Was given blue inhaler over phone by GP not

Is Thyroiditis the same as Hashimotos?
Had my results phone call this morning regarding my ultrasound from the ENT Dr Thyroid is enlarged and inflamed but thankfully nothing suspicious or any nodules. She said it's Thyroiditis. However, last week my Dr said she suspects Hashimoto's as my antibodies had doubled in 3 months to over 1,200 but
