Finished with all surgeries, finally!!!
I was diagnosed with stage 2 infiltrating ductile carcinoma in September 2012 just a few weeks before my wedding. I was encouraged to go ahead with the wedding and the honey moon, so we shared vows on 10/15/2012 and I had my first lumpectomy on 10/25/11. I was advised to take an aggressive approach

Stephen Silva, a story of a hopeful future. He refused to go silently into that dark night. An example for younger patients especially.
I was diagnosed with stage 4 alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver in May 2016 at age 32. At the time I was deep in alcoholism and weighed over 300 pounds. I had basically every symptom that comes along with cirrhosis; jaundice, ascites filled my belly, swollen legs, tender belly, brown urine, rarely urinating

How can you eat correctly when you don't know how digestion works? Everything goes through the liver, right? Suppose it isn't that simple.
There are "experts" who argue for all of the many types of diet. The low carb vs high carb or low fat vs high fat supporters all argue for their views. How can you possibly make any sense of it? It is complex but knowing a few fundamental things can help. You probably know that the brain burns glucose

Held needed - what meds to take
Hi all, I really really could do with your help. I have been struggling with Hashimoto for over 10 years now. Even though there has been an improvement I still don’t feel 100% myself, maybe 60%. I have been eating really heathy, low carb, no gluten and vegan diet. This has helped with weight loss

Hi everyone, being newly diagnosed with endometriosis I really want to try and find things that help with the pain other than painkillers. Has anyone tried a gluten free diet? Has it helped? x

BRAIN FOG DISCUSSION - NUMEROUS REPORTS OF ABUSE
I'd like to remind members that it is expected that people will be courteous to others when posting comments. The topic of Brain Fog is very interesting but it seems that some people object to another's point of view and have become confrontational and dismissive of other peoples views. * Please do

Low BP and low hemoglobin
Do medicines like plavix, ecosprin and rosuvas , combined with a strict low fat diet mostly vegetarian and little fish, result in low BP and low HB?

Gluten-Free is Good!
I have noticed that many of us are on Gluten-Free diets. Are there any other big food item monsters out there that aggravate Behçet’s inflammation? Going Gluten-Free was a game changer for me, at least for a while. I definitely felt markedly better on the GF diet within about a week. Thanks! Dave

Arsenic in rice-is this a concern for those on Gluten-free diets
I saw a program on TV recently that talked about the danger people on GF diets might be exposed to because of arsenic in rice. I googled "rice and pregnancy" as well as "arsenic in rice" and found several articles on the subject. Boiled down (excuse the pun) eating too many rice products from the

Is my gluten free diet making any difference?
Hi all. I went on a strict gluten free diet on 30 October 2017 and I’ve just had my most recent results back. They look quite different than before, but not sure if it’s 1) an improvement, and 2) if this change is due to being GF. I did also start supplementing (Vit B Complex, Vit D, Selenium) before

Gluten free and non hashis or coeliac- anyone tried and feel better?
Just wondering if anyone who isn't either hashis or coeliac has found a gluten free diet helpful. I've non stop issues with all the thyroid meds and pondering the root cause. Thx.

Gastroscopy and colonoscopy, it says talk to doc if you have thyroid disease!!! Advice please!
I am having gastroscopy and colonoscopy on Tuesday. Reading notes for the preparation it says talk to doc or pharmacist if you have any of following, one being thyroid disease. I have had them before but not together and for me it is very painful. This time I will not be eating for nearly 30 hours, I

Gestational Diabetes diet plan
Hi all, first post. My girlfriend is 24 weeks pregnant and has just been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes.
