CRP level elevated can anyone advise.
Hi Just wanted Clarification please. I wrote post a few weeks ago with my latest labs results and want to thank all who gave me brilliant advice. My C reactive protein was 9, on the printout of test results it stated "Abnormal but expected". Not sure why this would be. I know that CRP is an inflammation

Effect of Vitamins on Acetylcholine Synthesis
The effect of vitamins on acetylcholine synthesis in vitro was studied. The results indicated that vitamins A and K decreased the synthesis of acetylcholinc in low and increasing concentrations. Vitamin D did not affect the synthesis in low concentrations and decreased it in higher concentrations. Riboflavin

Update to 'help with blood test results please'. More help needed!!
Thanks for the advice! I have posted the blood test results again, just for reference. I saw a gastroenterologist for anaemia, who was about as much use as a chocolate teapot! Told me I wasn't very anaemic and to take a different form of iron tablet. Said that the B12, THS, and 'other thyroid bits' were

Oral Vit C supplements--is it bad to take? HELP!
We do believe in taking vitamins and supplements for our health, but since hubby has PCa I've tried my best to research what he should and shouldn't take! There's SO much info out there and fighting this beast gets so overwhelming, that I feel I just can't do enough to stay on top of all the research

Which blood test?
Hello, I’d like to ask your advice as to which blood test to get - blue horizon 11 or medichecks thyroid ultra-vit? They are very similar however there are some differences, namely, B12 active and inactive. Other differences are the inflammation marker and C reactive protein. I’m keeping really well

Update on OH
My dear husband is still in Yeovil hospital and waiting for a bed to become available here in rehab. As a matter of interest his CRP -which was 170 at the beginning - is 111 now. I know this stands for C-Reactive Protein and normal is in the range 0-8. So will this affect when they think he is fit to

Anyone take supplements for things like anti-inflammatory or vascular health?
Just wondered if anyone had tried supplements to try to help their annies either heal - which I’m told is impossible, or at least avoid growth/slow any growth? Caveat: The below is just conjecture & ‘mind ramblings’, I’m not qualified in ANY way with this stuff, it’s more for my own knowledge and I’m

Iron Tests - Feedback Request
Have been taking 2 x 65mg Ferrous Fumarate with Vitamin C daily since November 2018, say 7 months. Unfortunately the tests are carried out from different labs in different countries that use different ref ranges. The iron doesn’t appear to be substantially improved ? Please let me have your feedback
