AF and Arthritis
Hi everyone long time no post! Pleased to say the AF has been quite stable over the last 6 months or so, a few blips here and there but usually down to lack of sleep, bugs and dehydration! However over the last 2-3 months my osteoarthritis has been getting steadily worse to the point I've had trouble

knee pain post surgery
I am t my wits end. My husband has knee replacement surgery in Dec 2021. All was fine to start off with and he had a good range of movement. For the last 6-8 months he has been struggling with pain and movement. He can’t walk far and for long without pain relief. He has been back to see his consultant

does an rls friendly diuretic exist?
I have bad swollen legs which my GP thinks is caused by excess fluid It probably comes from a combination of my RLS medicines ( Pregabalin 250 mg and 2mg Neupro patch) plus a recent knee replacement operation. To get rid of this excess fluid my GP upped my normal 50mg Spironolactone dose to 75 mg.

Bad test news - questions to ask doctor
I knew my husband had AF following an EKG prior to surgery in 2012. He was a college athlete and only health issues have been hip and knee replacements. They tried to shock him out of AF but it was unsuccessful. He was put on Xarelto 20 mg. He has always been asymptomatic and I was naive since he

This one is a bit "left field" but here goes...
"Can any one hear me", says the Robin? OK! Infatuation with Robins aside... After my spectacular successful knee replacement I decide to buy myself a new mountain bike. BUT... bear with me... I have been 5yrs remission since FCR, Lymphocyte count 0.7 so on prophylactic Aciclovir (against Herpes infection

I had a total knee replacement 3 months ago and I’m due to go back to part time work next weds. Should I increase my pred for a couple

New ET diagnosis
Hello…..Was given my diagnosis a week ago today ..still getting my head around it. No obvious symptoms besides now I attribute it most likely to ET… fatigue. My GP was monitoring my platelets getting tad higher each blood test over last couple of years.. he had put me on low dose aspirin but recently

Three weeks post knee replacement. PT states they think I am coming along well. Let me tell you... the last several days have been horrible. My stepdad that resides in an assisted living care facility took a sudden turn as to which I spent 3 days .. minus at night because I needed to be in bed for

Aids post knee replacement
I'm due a total knee replacement next month. I already have an easy reach grabber, a leg raiser and a raised toilet seat from when I had a new hip last year. Are there other things that people have found helpful? Thanks 😊 x

Good morning all, I wonder if any one has experience of a total knee replacement post transplant please? My husband has needed this operation for about the last two years but because his liver was so damaged couldn’t have until his health improved. When came to the top of the waiting list last Christmas

Knee Pain and trouble walking after four years
I had a knee replacement four years ago and although it was never great it was such an improvement I just went with it. The surgeon said there was not much left for him to work with after years of abuse !!! Four years on though and I am having more and more issues. I cannot walk up and down stairs

Recovery after partial Knee Replacement
Firstly thank you to everyone who took the time to reply to my last post regarding post op fatigue. That does indeed seem to have passed. However, I am still struggling with trying to gauge how much pain relief I should be using and progress with exercises. It would be really useful to hear from anyone

knee replacement
saw a private Dr yesterday about my knee. The complete opposite to what my NHS consultant said. He says right away it’s swollen - I said it’s been like that most of the past 5 years / am used to it and hopping along. Quick run through my health and where am at and says of course you need a knee replacement
