Working hard!!

Solily profile image
35 Replies

Progressing quite well from my knee replacement. I stop using the walker in day 4 and now I am not using any walking assistive device!! Working hard with my physical therapist. He had me walking outside down the block I live on.... felt so good ! The exercises can be brutal!! Still dealing with much swelling and stiffness but it will only be 2 weeks post op on Monday . Also quite tired which is not my normal but I know this is common after surgery. So... overall I think I am doing well! Can't wait to once again go on my long walks . xx

movement can be difficult but I try to push harder each day xx

Hi ,I had my replacement four weeks on Tuesday.

Yes the exercises can be painful, but my pain is less now and can raise my leg up off the bed. Still using my crutches for support but taking some steps without them. Good luck and take care,

Deborah

That's really good news. I have seen people who can hardly walk then have a knee replacement and the difference is amazing. Brilliant. Keep us posted🙂xxx

Brilliant! I had both my knee joints done at the same time in 2001 and they are still as good as new. The hard work that you are putting into them now will repay you a thousand times over. 😀xx

Hi! My Husband had both his knees replaced and like you he got on quite quickly. The exercises are imperative. He religiously did them and it wasn’t too long before we were going out for days again. I hope you will be the same. It sounds very much like you are a positive person.
