After I lay down to go to sleep, every time atleast 3x a night when I must go to use the bathroom, it sounds like popcorn and the pain is unbarrable. I'm going to get a PKR in January, but until then what can I take for pain. And what are my better options a TKR or PKO since I have the crackling pain. I'm leaning partial, but I'm ready for whatever.

The doctor working with you is the best to advise you regarding the appropriateness of a partial or total knee replacement. In the meantime, you should use a cane or other aids to help control the pain. Ice will also help after you have been walking. I would try to avoid using narcotics to control the pain but if you cannot sleep at night it may be reasonable for your doctor to help you with some such medicine temporarily as long as there is a long term plan for relieving the pain by replacing your knee. You want to avoid treating chronic pain with narcotics.
