My best friend had her left knee surgery with no complications with ms. She also had neck surgery and no complication with ms then either. Just the pt was hard, but she made it. 😉 let us know 🤷🏼‍♂️👍👍👍

Hello!

I have had heart surgery which had to be stopped and continued a month later due to muscle spasms in my legs.

I had a hysterectomy about 10 years ago. My neurologist had warned me that the anesthesia might trigger a pseudo-exacerbation. And it did; I was unable to move my legs after awakening from the surgery. I then received 3 days of steroids and the paralysis resolved. There were no lasting side effects.

I have had major surgery but not since I was diagnosed with MS. I can tell you however, that my husband, who is paralyzed on the left side from stroke, had a knee replacement on the left and he is doing great with it. In fact, he is having the right knee done in April.
