Advice about my Mum
I am wondering if anyone can offer some insight into their own experiences of having/living with someone with decompensated liver disease. My mum was hospitalised in May2020 and had pretty much all of the symptoms of decompensation - ascites, edema, HE & such. She was hospitalised for 7 weeks and we

The natural route to fighting cancer?
I'm new here. So I'm beginning my path to treatments for stage 3 PC. No metastasis. Generally good health for 67 yrs old. Got a 3 month ADT shot before I had decided to treat through a Naturopathic Oncologist. Has any one on this forum gone after their prostate cancer with natural protocols? Before

Dad is 17 days post op And we managed to get to see him today, just outside ward we sat distanced from him but glad to see him, moving forward slowly but in the right direction, a few things I’m wondering if anyone has any advice - He’s still got catheter in they did take it out but he went into retention

Provenge cell harvesting failure
Had immune cells harvested, sent to lab, told insufficient cells collected. This was first treatment. Any experience with rate of cell collection failure? The reasons? The likelihood of repeat failure. Can't get answer from doctors office, just told repeat the processes. Am taking 10 mg prednisone.

Imperforate hymen and daytime wetting
My four year old suddenly started daytime wetting in April this year. After a couple of months of reward charts, increased fluids, reminder alarms and negative urine samples we discovered she had an imperforate hymen. We’re waiting on a hospital appointment at the moment to get this investigated further

Borage Oil and PMR
So we were just watching a documentary in the US that originated in the UK about alcohol and new drinking guidelines in the UK. A hangover remedy that had some success was borage oil in capsule form because of its anti-inflammatory effects. I’m wondering if anyone with PMR has had any success with borage

A warning to older men on dialysis and those who have had transplants
I am 68 years old and had a transplant in 2016. Previous to this I was on peritoneal dialysis for a couple of years. Everything went well with the transplant but I was having trouble with the frequent need to pee. Initially it was thought that my bladder just needed time to get used to a working kidney

Why has my 3 year old stopped asking to go to the toilet and why does he hide to poo?
My 3 year old has been suffering from constipation since around 8 months of age and is on Movicol. He also has a kidney issue. He was potty trained for wee but has always struggled when it comes to poo. In June he had major Surgery to cure his kidney issues and had a catheter for over a week after his

Just got diagnosed with Lupus nephritis
Hi there. Summary: Just recently got diagnosed with Lupus nephritis after a biopsy. My life has changed. I'm constantly tired. And my body just feels different. I need to put much more effort into anything I do and even simple tasks are harder than usual. And my concentration is kind of. In addition

Little battle update ;)
Good morning all you dear peeps🤗🌻 I have been measured up and tattooed for a stereotactic radiotherapy starting first session on 22nd September at 10am on alternate days for 5 sessions. Hopefully it will work, otherwise a lot longer 👍🏾positive thoughts and prayers are with me, as a spiritual aid.

Oh dear :(
Well last night I completed W6R3 and I was so chuffed with myself. I even ramped it up for the last 60 seconds. Then during the 5 mins cool down walk I managed to go over on a stone or a branch and headbutted the pavement. I now have an ankle like a balloon and a black eye. My children said I
