Open Heart Surgery Ahead
Born with a bicuspid valve I guessed this day was coming…just not so soon! I will be 56 when they open my chest on August 15th. I would much rather have the TAVR procedure but at my age the long term planning doesn’t support that method at this time. So, OHD it is. I have significant procedural anxiety

Vaginal cramps at 11 weeks
First time posting on here as I was determined to be positive and enjoy my pregnancy and not worry until there was something to really worry about. But now I’m worrying 😢😢 I am 11+2 today, and for the past few days I’ve been getting, on and off cramps that are worrying me. They feel like period cramps

**Sensitive** New arrival
Firstly I hope this post doesn’t upset anyone, I’ve been in that position and chosen many a time not to open these. After a very quick labour and terrifying emergency section, my lucky egg arrived yesterday morning. We chose not to find out the sex (we didnt care either way!), and despite being convinced

TW *mentions successful pregnancy ** Sibling round question
Trigger Warning: mention of successful pregnancy. Hi there, I’m sorry if this is a tough post for some as I realise how lucky we are to have a child. I had a round of ICSI 2019 (male factor) and had 4 embryos on day 5, transferred 1 fresh - failed, 2nd transfer - a FET failed and 3rd transfer success

Placenta: grade 2 at 28 weeks
Hey lovelies, Just looking for some reassurance & others experience. Conceived through IVF with DE, diagnosed with low PAPP-A at 12 weeks - the little bean is now 28 weeks and at the growth scan yesterday we saw him head down, wiggling away & not so little at 1kg 🥰 The sonographer commented that he

Is Jevtana easier to tolerate than docetaxel?
I have noticed that some men on this site have had over 30 infusions of Jevtana. My husband has had completed 10 sessions of docetaxel. The last three were given with a second dose of Carboplatin. Jevtana is new to us. How is it tolerated? Why can it be given at such a high number of doses?

IVF weight gain
Hi lovelies - did any of you gain weight when doing your cycles? I had my first cycle in January then my second in March. I've gained approx 5lbs & struggling to get it off. I'm starting meds for my FET in 5 weeks time so was hoping I would have had it off by then but it's hard going.

IMRT WITHOUT THE JELL
I'm scheduled for IMRT Radistion without the jell. Doc says the jell may push cancer microscopic cells away from the prostate. He said the cancer is about to protrude through the capsule and microsopic cancer cells could be out of the capsule and did not want to take a chance of putting the jell in and

Immune issues with donor eggs
Hi there,I'm just wondering if any of you have been successful with using donor eggs if you have an auto immune issue or have elevated NK cells and/or cytokines. I'm worried that we will go down the donor route and then fail anyway because of my immune issues despite any embryos being good quality.

Missed periods and irregular cycle
Hello! I was meant to start my 2nd round of stims this week but my period hasn’t come… in fact my cycle has gone super irregular ever since I went through x1 fresh & x2 frozen cycles last year. Has this happened to others? I am very upset about it because I feel so ready to go back into ivf and finally

Should I delay, or go ahead (IVF)?
Both me and my husband are under 31 - no known medical issues other than my known hormone condition, which is the reason we need IVF. We’ve just had 1 round of IVF (ICSI) and all 3 embryos that we had failed to implant. The decision I need to make is should I crack on next month and start the process

2nd round IVF
I'm looking for some help with timelines please. We had our first round of IVF and got a negative test result on Friday, followed by period on Saturday. I still haven't heard anything about timelines from the hospital but keen to find out so we can plan things. We are fortunate to have embryos frozen

Stimulation period and exercise

Long protocol and a late period - will they cancel?
Hi all, hope staying as well as you can. I’m on my first longer protocol (2nd round ivf), started on day 21 this round whereas round 1 we started day 2. I’m cycle day 28 and would normally have a v regular 26/27 day cycle- I know it’s not super late, but not had any spotting or symptoms at all to say
