Nicotine patches vs gum.
if you’re not aware, I’ve been experimenting with the nicotine patch. I found that it’s too much. I wonder if that why the trial failed. I found a couple pieces of gum, 3-4 a day as needed better. I will soon be off meds. They never really worked that good anyway. Nicotine works just as good if not

Endometrioma and IVF
Just wondering anyone that has had endometriomas and IVF how big they were to continue with IVF? I have had 2 opinions from two hospitals so feel confused what to do! 1 has advised to have the cysts removed and then go straight into IVF whilst the other is reluctant to do surgery due to my AMH but

Unusual discharge 2 weeks before IVF
Hi everyone, After my first IVF cycle I developed a type of discharge that looks like thrush but has none of the other signs (no itchiness, burning, odour). This tested negative for candida and everything else at the GP twice, and tested negative for all strains of candida tested by the Invivo vaginal

Wondering if anyone else isn't sold on the concept of taking a sledgehammer to the immune system to treat RRMS. I am looking forward to these meds finishing clinical trials: * Vidofludimus calcium [It's both anti-EBV and neuroprotective effect] (Link: https://multiplesclerosisnewstoday.com

Struggling
Hi everyone, I'm struggling to come to terms with not having my own child. I'm soon to be 42 and I'm in a same sex relationship of five years. My partner has an 11 year old son from a previous relationship, conceived via a sperm donor, at home. We both initially wanted another child and both wanted

anyone else struggling
Good morning I'm currently 8 eight month down the line since having a miscarriage & at last 6 months since my partner & me made the decision not to do anymore IVF due to age factor & finance. I've been having monthly counselling session which I feel is helping but I thought I was doing okay but last

Hi everyone, Just a quick question for those of us with PA. When we have b12 loading doses I have read this replenishes liver stores. Can anyone tell me does this b12 always successfully make it into the liver stores? I ask because my body does not reflect this. Loading doses did nothing to alleaviate

Clinic recommendation
Hi, Can anyone recommend any ivf clinics in the midlands or Warwickshire area please? I am 41 and looking to do another round of ivf. My first round was in nhs in Coventry but looking for a different clinic now - preferably one that does pgta testing. Thank you in advance all! Wishing you all lots

Do we have to have a laproscopy?
Hi all, I've been referred for an emergency laproscopy for my pain. I suspect endometriosis. But the bigger Q is: do I need the surgery? I guess yes if it can remove the endometriosis and relieve the pain, but is it necessary for being treated for pain? I feel like I need a diagnosis to be taken seriously

Ultrasound/Biopsy show cirrhosis, but fibroscan score is 7.4
I’m somewhat perplexed… since my diagnosis I’ve been told I have cirrhosis, because of my biopsy and ultrasound results. A recent fibroscan score was 7.4, which is fibrosis. Although some parts of the fibroscan were as high as 8. Can someone explain this? My dr. was very vague in his explanation. Thank

Any success with fresh IVF embryo transfer aged 44yrs
Hi to all, I’ve been on this rollercoaster now for many years and have read all your individual circumstances but have never posted. I have been through 7 brutal rounds of IVF as an international satellite patient which is another level of hardship. I had my retrieval done a few days ago and no surprise

11 weeks - how not to feel anxious!
hello. I’ll try to make this short. My DH and I have been trying for years, 3 IVF, 2 failed and 1 MC. We turned to surrogate to help us build our family. 1st attempt with a PGTA normal girl - MC at 6 weeks. 2nd attempt with PHTA normal male worked. We are 11 weeks today. We saw the 1st heartbeat at 7

Too old at nearly 45?
I went through 6 rounds of IVF between age 41 and 43 using the sperm of a known donor. I'm now in a relationship with a female partner, and my partner (aged nearly 41) is about to start IVF with an unknown donor, and I will be the co-parent. Despite being wholly committed and supportive of my partner's

Cycle of IVF
Hello everyone, I have a question about the IVF (in vitro fertilization) process. If, during an IVF cycle, I produce multiple eggs (let's say three), which one will the clinic use for implantation? And what happens to the other two eggs if they are in good condition? Will they be frozen for future
