Are bone and CT scans required quarterly if PSA and testosterone are basically zero and no symptoms?
I have stage IV prostate cancer with a spot on my lung being the only known spread of my cancer. After my chemo regimen, my CT and bone scans have been clean for a year now. And my blood work is perfect at the moment. I am on Zytiga and getting a Lupron shot quarterly. My doc still wants

follicle growth - too fast and game over?
hi all! I’m in my 2nd ivf stim cycle and at day 8 of the cycle I had my scan - 2 follicles are already at 18-18.8mm with others following at 12-14mm. The clinic reduced my dosage to 300 and told me to start the antagonist (orgalutran) today.. I’m really worried by the time I trigger they will be too

IBS and Coeliac
I have managed my Coeliac disease since 2009 but last year had a colonoscopy which confirmed my new symptoms were IBS D!! I struggle to know what to eat and feel my quality of life has taken a dive. I have never been someone who gets down but this is seriously effecting my mental health. Two weeks ago

Blood test results
Hi, three weeks ago I had a Fibroscan in a mobile community testing van, the result was a reading of 15.1. The nurse suggested cirrhosis of the liver and said a referral for a CT scan was appropriate. I hadn't heard anything for two weeks, as you can imagine, I was beside myself with worry, I phoned

I'm sure this is a beaten horse topic, but I am unable to perform my previous weight training insofar as weight and stamina. I'm on eligard every 3 months and nightly erleada pill. Can I incorporate creatine monohydrate without effecting my PSA or exacerbating my BPH? I'm Stage 4, Gleason 9, mets to

I’m 73 and been feeling extra tired recently, otherwise fit and well. I thought the tiredness might be caused by Keppra a drug I take for epilepsy, I’m also on statins … but anyway the GP did a blood test, the Serum Alanine transaminase was ‘out of range’ at 54 u/l. I’ve always been a drinker but stick

Autoimmune issues and IVF - a question
Hi all, I'll be having my first FET in a few weeks time, and something has been bugging me for a while. I suffer from a few autoimmune issues - I have psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis and also elevated thyroid antibodies (sidenote: my thyroid is otherwise under control with levothyroxine). Generally my

Chemical pregnancy?
Hi all, I’m hoping for some advice. We have just gone through our second round of IVF (after an unsuccessful round last year). OTD was today (11dp5dt), but I started testing last week at 7dp5dt and have little to no line progression, so feeling really worried it’s a chemical pregnancy. Can’t call clinic

low WBC Count & CMV Update
Okey, I haven’t posted for a while because I haven’t felt terribly well. I’m fairly sure this is due to the high dose of Valcyte I’m taking and have taken for all but 2 months since the first week of June. BACKGROUND I had a kidney transplant the week before Thanksgiving 2022. The surgery went well

Hayfever medication ahead of stimulation round-worried!
Hi all, Hoping someone can help me calm a little ahead of our next IVF round. My husband and I will be starting ICSI round 2 in a couple of weeks. We've avoided all unnecessary medication in the lead up but on Thursday night last week we were both really suffering with hayfever and took half a piriton

surgery via private healthcare
So I have been advised to have two separate surgeries before continuing with IVF, one to remove a borderline tumour via laparoscopic cystectomy (purely for health reasons as the tumour has the potential to become cancerous), and a hysteroscopy to treat a defective c section scar which may potentially

Headaches
Hi everyone I was diagnosed with Graves in 2021 and had treatment which put the Graves in remission. I am starting to feel unwell again and getting headaches and just feeling lousy but wondered if the headaches is a symptom of Graves. I do suffer with migraines. I am having my bloods done tomorrow

Exercise after embryo transfer/in pregnancy?
Hi, I'm about to start my first frozen transfer cycle after a freeze all collection a few months ago. In the last year I've been doing an aerial hoop class once a week and it's been so good for my mental health (and fitness too). I had always planned that if I got pregnant I would just stop going, however
