Rheumy Nurse?
I am puzzled. This site has many references to apparent support teams. I am delighted if that is general. For myself the only contact with the NHS I have is my GP. It is alleged that there is a very overdue appointment with a consultant. Maybe I shall be able to elicit information about some kind

Good afternoon, I wonder if any of you have experienced this? Approximately year ago I started having breathing problems, only when walking and within a few minutes of sitting down, I was OK again. I eventually i saw my gp, had an ecg, then heart scan etc and was told I had arterial fibulation. Been

Accept nothing question everything...with the proviso that you are well informed
Everything that I have been complaining about for 8 years has now been seen on MRI. The private MRI that I paid for last week. Some of the best money I have ever spent. Not only do I have 'florid' synovitis in my hands, I have widespread enhanced bone erosions in both hands and feet. I also have

PSORIATIC ARTHRITIS
I supposedly have psoriatic arthritis/tendinopathy however there is no evidence in my blood. My tendons attaching to elbows and feet become extremely painful. I was put on MTX 15ml injections for 8 months but stopped as my blood cells were slightly enlarged and the jury is out if it was even working

Recently diagnosed fibromyalgia
Hi all, after 6 years of test after test I'm newly diagnosed the fibromyalgia, which given the amount of pain and fact I can't walk more than a few paces without pain and developing a limp, I'm finding hard to accept. I do have osteoarthritis but my consultant said the level of pain I'm experiencing

Our daughter has had RA for many years and I have always said I wish it were me rather than her with the condition. Now I have joined her in being diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis and am just beginning to appreciate the impact it has on life! I have been fortunate in being quickly assessed and

I have flare ups of psoriasis and in recent years have had swelling in my knees and pain in many joints when i have a flare up, and sometimes when I don’t even have any psoriasis

Methotrexate and antibiotics
For anyone on methotrexate (presently or in the past), if you've had infections what antibiotics have you been prescribed? My sister has a UTI (symptoms only started today) but she took her methotrexate last night (she has rheumatoid arthritis so will also post on that site), and she's been prescribed

How risky is taking ibuprofen while on Xarelto?
I've got some pain in finger joints due to osteoarthritis and would love to be able to take an occasional ibuprofen. I know it's not recommended but Tylenol does nothing for this pain. Am wondering what the risk is.

overlap RA, medication?
I was Dx with overlap rheumatoid arthritis. I have had PBC for 15 years, controlled well by URSO. In terms of RA, rheumatologist says this really limits medications given so many of the standard RA medications can damage the liver. For now I am on steroids. Can anyone else in the PBC community speak

Inflammatory reaction to sugar and carbohydrate ?
did I read somewhere on this site that people with PMR and or on prednisolone can develop a reaction to carbohydrate ? One of the first things I recall about this journey was feeling very dodgey after sucking some butterscotch sweets on an empty tummy. That was before I was diagnosed and given steroids

Ultrasound guided cortisone injections
wondering if some people with lower back pain, re degeneratve disc disease, , spinal stenosis and arthritis , causing a lot of pain have benefited from ultrasound guided cortisone injections, and or had side affects
