Ultrasound guided cortisone injections
Hi, I had one, it had no effect, but can react differently to everyone, so may help, have had them in my feet for ages, and does help, but my cramps seem worse for a week after then gets better x
I had them in both hips recently ,one worked about 70% the other 20% ,I had to pay for them cost 1,300 pounds 1,004 for injections with guide the rest for private oppiontment with orthopedic, so you can imagine I am a bit disapionted ,but still better with them than without ,agian massive waiting list in my area I was in so much pain I couldn't wait ,thank goodness I was lucky enough to afford it ,good luck
I had them on 2 separate occasions each time my consultant did 4 each time. the first time i had no relief at all, so he tried a 2nd time around 9 months later with a different type and different positioning i got very slight easing for around a fortnight. no side effects .. your possibly best speaking to your consultants tea and request the name of any drugs that way you can research it.
Good luck
I've had them done and they worked for not all that long, luckily after that I was referred for radio frequency nerve ablation as the NHS no longer like to keep repeating steroid injections. The nerve ablation can give you 2-3 years of pain relief and can then be repeated.
Hi I have had several different types over the last 10 years. The majority have helped with the pain but most last short term. I am due to have some facet joint injections shortly after a recent flare up but I am also now considering a nerve ablation for long term results.
