Osteoporosis & Fosamax

I’ve had osteopenia for years & was recently told at 74 that I have osteoporosis on my left hip.

I have always taken calcium supplements, exercise etc

My Question is has anyone had experience with Fosamax

I’m worried about the side effects. I’m already on warfarin & Plaquenil, have APS & arthritis & have had one stroke.

I’d appreciate any information or advice you can give me. Thank you

Hi we are not medically trained on here, you really need to write to your GP and copying in your main Hughes Syndrome/APS consultant, expressing your concerns, they need to weigh up the risks between them, also include any other specialists, it will move the conversation on a bit. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl... Hi Loretta- no I have not had experience with it. Your hematologist will have to really guide you carefully on this one. I’m sorry I can’t be useful...
