PMR or Rheumatoid Arthritis?
I have been treated for PMR and been on prednisone since July 2021. I have had 13 infusions of Actemra over the past year. I have had many ups and downs, including being weaned very slowly off prednisone and having to go back on it. Although there is no proof, I truly believe that having two shoulder

Are you a parent with Inflammatory Arthritis?
Having inflammatory arthritis can be hard, add to this the ‘joys’ of raising children and the challenges can begin to pile up. As a parent with IA, it can get frustrating and you aren’t alone if you feel this way. We’d love to have you join our Parenting with IA meeting, a safe space for adults to laugh

Spoon Theory
I receive the magazine Inspire from Versus Arthritis and there is an article about Spoon Theory in the Autumn issue. When I read it I thought I remembered reading about it in more detail on here. Been trying to find link via FAQ’s but couldn’t find it. Would be grateful if someone could post a link

?PMR onset Rheumatoid Arthritis
I have been just been diagnosed with ‘PMR onset Rheumatoid arthritis.’ I was put on 15mg steroids initially, which was increased to 20mg after 3 weeks as still in so much pain, and also added in 15mg s/c Methotrexate. I’m still confused by the diagnosis as I had no previous history of PMR! I had all

GLA:D program, arthritis and PMR
Have just finished the exercise program known as GLA:D for arthritis, and reporting in to others who have hip or knee arthritis who may be considering it .... for someone who hates gyms, I found it amazingly improved muscle tone, strength, endurance and much needed walking stability.
Caveat :

Sciatica down both legs
I have Inflammatory arthritis and Sjogrens and 2 prolapses. I am supposed to have an operation for the prolapses on the 9th. Last week I suddenly had pain across my back which went down both legs. I also had weak legs. 2 G P's saw me and examined me for Claudia Equina. They didn't seem particularly bothered

Confused
Well I am totally confused. Eight years ago I was diagnosed with PMR through symptoms and raised blood markers.I have slowly tapered down to 1mg of Prednisolone daily. I had a third appointment with the Rheumatologist because I begged my review to be brought forward due to a massive flare of my PMR

Random burning pain at night
I was diagnosed with sero negative arthritis in 2018. I am mostly doing ok, tired but managing. Recently I’ve been getting these painful burning skin sensations at night. They can be anywhere, leg, face, back. They last a short time but can be intense. Has anyone else experienced this and was it due

more joint issues
hello , has anyone on this wonderful platform needed an ankle fusion? My sub talar joint has collapsed and I have been recommended a fusion and repositioning of tendon. In the meantime I have been troubled by severe knee pain , X-ray was normal! However MRI shows a meniscal tear and stage 4 osteoarthritis
