iron and b12 test results
How am I doing with iron and b12? i posted before about my thyroid results and have reduced my Levo a tiny amount pending testing again in a few weeks time I now have the rest of my results (minus ferritin and folate ) from MMH. I can see that my iron and b12 are not dire but neither are they optimal

Severe RLS Where do I go now?
Hi! I've been lurking reading your posts for a couple of years. I live in Sweden and am a 58 yo female and have severe burning RLS without PLMD. Here's a condensed version of my story: July 2011 Laminectomy C4-C5. no real slide effects except nerve pain in right index finger which I've learned to block

Been a while
hello all, it’s been sometime since I last was on here so I thought I’d give an update on what’s happening since my valve operation. Basically I’ve had one major problem since I came out, breathlessness on exertion, I.e. when I try to exercise. It doesn’t take many seconds for the breathing to rectify

Dissecated liver for iron
Hello, I’ve had issues with my ferritin being low, even though I’ve been supplementing with iron for a while. Has anyone tried dissecated liver to get their iron levels up? If so, do you have one that you would recommend?

Speechless by my GP’s response
I messaged my GP surgery and requested a full thyroid blood test (not just TSH which is all I’ve been able to get since COVID) as well as iron, vits B and D tests. I’ve been feeling really rotten, and want to look at every potential reason. Now, bear in mind I have been on HRT (prescribed by them) for

Advice please
Hello everyone, I am writing as someone who has struggled with periods since puberty. When I first started my periods I was having very heavy periods that was lowering my iron causing me to have anemia. I was a very conscious school girl who was paranoid she smelt of blood and was going to leak any second

Low T3
Hi, I have been hypothyroid for many years now, but I am really struggling with brain fog and fatigue. I am currently taking 75mcg of Levothyroxine daily, but my doctor says I am overmedicated and wants to drop the dose to 50mcg . I have resisted this so far. She refuses to test T3 as she says if

High neutrophil count😱
My wife's last blood test showed her platelets were up at @800 And her neutrophil count at over 70, her Hgb was 116, hematocrit was 0.38 which is high for her, but as it was only three weeks since she had three units of packed red cells and a bag of iron, that was expected. I read in the guardian of

Intravenous Iron, oxidative stress and vitamin E and selenium
I have been reading about the possibility that some people may experience oxidative stress with intravenous iron therapy. I thought this article was interesting as it states that vitamin E and selenium are powerful antioxidants that can somewhat mitigate this problem. I would not suggest synthetic

Consultant recommendations in the Essex, London, South East area
Hi I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism almost 5 years ago now despite me not having any symptoms. I'd had a blood test because of illness in my family and I was very surprised to find out that my T4 levels were around 8.5 and my TSH was 10.3. My antibodies were out of range and my iron levels were borderline

Gabapentin/Pregabalin
Just popping back on with and update and request for thoughts please.Following my post earlier this month I've tapered down the gabapentin to 900mg as thought I would give that a go whilst taking iron. The gabapentin wasn't totally controlling my RSL so thought it worth a try to see if it got worse

Hi guys, I’ve been following you for 4 years and have taken different actions recommended over the time. I’ve just had my bloods done and I’m waiting for results. So far I’ve avoided medication, instead taking iron and magnesium and exercise. My RLS comes every night but has gotten much worse in the

low iron and tremor
I have been tremoring for the last month and today my GP freaked out at my very low normal iron blood level. He said I eat meat so he can't understand why it's so low. Anyway, I checked with Google and low iron can cause tremors so I hope this is what is wrong and I will supplement with iron tablets

Falling asleep after taking meds in the morning
Hey all, Does anyone experience fatigue after taking thyroid meds in the morning? I take 90 t4 and 23 t3 in Armour and Thybon in the morning and I am very tired after taking it. And then at 2 pm I am very fatigued again and potentially in the evening around 7 pm. Trying to understand what I'm doing

Advice on Iron levels
Serum Ferritin level blood test has come back showing at 15 ug/l - is this low? Doctor saying it is low normal rangeand not normally consdered as iron deficiency - but am presenting symptoms and thought range was 15.0 - 300.0 ug/L. Advise needed please.
