Low iron
I have an iron count of between 29 and 33 from 2021 to now on a range of 11-360. For the last six months I've been taking a supplement to boost the serum iron level and the level has dropped from 33 to 31. I think I'm anaemic for symptomatic reasons. I SI EOD and have done for a year. My health is beginning

update -reducing ropinerole
Update on my husband, he is down from 8 mg to 4 mg ropinerole daily and about to transition to a lower amount again. Has been lowering it down .25 mg every 2-3 weeks depending upon rls flare ups which have been minimal. He is taking iron supplements with c daily and has been doing well. He has adjusted

Second opinion for my daughter (ruling out thyroid, opinion on vitamins)
17 year old daughter has complained of headaches and fatigue for years. Chalked it up to teenager, pandemic, and irregular sleeping patterns. As all those things resolved, and the headaches and fatigue didn't, I ordered bloodwork to rule out Hashis and Hypo; and hopefully pinpoint a treatment to get

GP appointment today - help!
Hello lovely people, I have a GP appointment today and I wanted to ask for advice. I'm on 125mg Levothyroxine. Feel well except for inability to lose weight, Have lost about 3 stone over past 4 yrs but need to lose 2-3 more I'd say (don't use scales). I have pretty much optimised all necessary vitamins

All new to me!
I came across this group by sheer accident I wasn’t looking for advice re the medication I was taking but after reading the posts I’m now worried about it all. I was on 0.5mg Advartel Ropinerole (which was working absolutely fine for me, honestly gave me my life back after 10 years of not knowing

Some Potentially Alarming Changes to Blood
Hi All, CLL Diagnosed less than a year ago. 13 Q del. I am/was hoping for a slow progression of this disease, but my recent blood work is worrying me. I'll meet with my doctor (CLL specialist at U of Chicago) next week, but I value the insight of those who have been dealing with this just as much if

Good news and bad news
I said I'd update the forum with my efforts to get an iron infusion. I'll start with the bad news which is that the neurologist at Newcastle has said they won't do an infusion for a patient who doesn't live in the Northern region which is sort of understandable but frustrating because infusions are not

Thyroid medication update
So presently taking 60 NDT and 25 t4 synthroid. I couldn't tolerate 90 ndt so my doctor gave me 25 t4 as a slower release and doesn't hit as hard as ndt. So it seems this addition of t4 has helped me. My sleep is better, my eyebrows filling in more, the few pounds I was holding onto seem to have dropped

Has anyone been on medication for a long while and successfully come off it to follow a natural route?
MY husband has been on Madapar for about 6 years blood test shows low in iron and low kidney function, (we had to make appointment with GP to ask for blod tests as neuroligist never suggested it (I think he should have) he has dizzy spells where he stares and shakes more and falls over and the side effects

Does Magnesium need a big gap around thyroid meds?
I currently try to leave 4 hours either side of both iron and magnesium capsules and thyroid meds. Do I need to do that with magnesium?

Low ferritin again
Unsurprisingly my ferritin has fallen back to the very bottom of the range yet again after i ceased iron supplements back in march. Raised a call with the surgery this morning and within 6 minutes of raising the call online it had been closed by the enhanced care practitioner as saying no action required

Bloods and GP help!
Hi my partner has been suffering from symptoms of hypothyroidism for several years now. The bulk of this time he was suffering depression, anxiety and over weight so each visit to the GP about his symptoms would always be loose weight and sort your mental health. Amazingly since the start of this yr

Decreasing iron levels despite taking iron
My new iron test shows it is now 14.5 umol/l (5.8 - 34.5) and on 4th September it was 17.7 umol/l (5.8 - 34.5). I have been taking iron drops every day (except for period of time before each blood test). Is this normal?

Iron Deficiency and Iron Deficiency Anemia: Potential Risk Factors in Bone Loss
Members are likely all too familiar with patients being told that they are suffering osteopenia or osteoporosis due to having too much thyroid hormone. And, especially, too much T3. While it is important to realise that there is a case to be made regarding excess thyroid hormone, it is just as important

Can't find proper thyroid medication
Hi all, I've tried almost all thyroid medications under the sun, NDT, T4 only (tirosint, synthroid, euthyrox), T4 + T3, T3 only, NDT + T4. And no matter what I still have lingering symptoms despite all my levels being optimal ( TSH, free T4 and free T3). My vitamins are all optimal as well (vtiamin
