Oral Iron supplements, doing it wrong!
Well, I got my full blood test back and after some analysis, I think I messed up. I have been supplementing daily with 36 milligrams of ferrous bisglysinate. Here are my lab results that concern me. Ferritin was 72! This is my lowest since my infusion in 2016. Eight weeks after my infusion

Update re: Total Confusion about Ferritin (Medichecks) Results!
As promised to Seaside Susie, and 6 months later, please see below response I've had from Medichecks. I'm just sad it didn't come in time for Seaside Susie to see that they had eventually listened to us! It is an improvement on the previous reference range for over 60yrs females but it raises more questions

Is this a "normal" reaction to NDT?
Hi All, I'm trying to take NDT instead of levo, on which I was for around 20 years before, mostly on 75 mcg. My TSH went out of balance back in October 2022 and between then and now it's been a massive struggle. I increase my T4 slightly (even by 12,5 mcg) and get heart palpitations (heart was checked

Can anyone help with iron panel interpretation please
This is a friend’s recent iron panel Posted a couple of days ago but hoping for a better response this time I’ve looked on rT3 adrenals where it says a low transferrin level indicates a lack of capacity for supplemental iron. I really don’t understand this when it’s clear her whole panel is low,

Nothing Works.
At present i take the max dose of 3 pramipexole, ad 2 Pregablin, just been back on the pregablin for about 10 days, but it’s not working , haven’t slept in 48 Hrs. Over range T3 on combination T3/T4 medication
I posted several times last year about my 18 daughter who was very ill with chronic fatigue and severe bowel issues amongst other things. We discovered that her FT3 and FT4 were both very low and this was may have been the cause of many of her symptoms. In March last year her Medichecks tests came

What to expect from iron injections

No meds….yet
Hi New to this forum and RLS. Insomnia is crippling me and affecting everything from weight gain to cognitive abilities. I am desperately seeking sleep. GP has prescribed Quinine but little affect. Also on iron tablets, B12, Vit D, Magnesium. Next stop Ropinole. I’m scared to take this as there appears
