I have been tremoring for the last month and today my GP freaked out at my very low normal iron blood level. He said I eat meat so he can't understand why it's so low. Anyway, I checked with Google and low iron can cause tremors so I hope this is what is wrong and I will supplement with iron tablets for a month and see how I get on. Anyone else got any ideas why my levels are so low given I eat meat.

Also can anyone advise why I might be low in Iron when I eat meat?

When we have hypothyroidism it lower our stomach acid. This means that we cannot absorb vitamins from our food well at all and should keep an eye on ferritin, folate, B12 & d3 levels.
Most people in this group supplement on a continuous basis to achieve and then maintain their vitamin levels.
Do be sure to take iron 4 hours away from your Levo and any other meds/supplements as it can prevent other things being absorbed that are taken at the same time.
Recommend taking iron with orange juice or anything that contains vit C to help absorption.
It can take a long time - many months - to raise ferritin/iron.
Have you had your other vitamin levels checked, if so what were the results?
