Could This Be Thyroid?
I know what you're going to say... do these tests and just wait and see... I'm very anxious with symptoms right now and just looking for some thoughts. Although I am currently awaiting investigations into what I'm fearful might be a liver or pancreas problem (you know what I'm saying), I'm hoping some

My response to the AASM Guidelines For RLS
I am posting this in the hope that it helps in forming your own response and if you agree with some of them, including them in your own response might help them pay more attention to them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Has anyone ever defeated RLS?
That's all really. Has anyone either found a medication or had an iron infusion and been "cured" completely? If not, what helps control it, how long you've taken/used it for? Has anyone ever had a GP or healthcare provider understand what RLS is and how to treat it from the first visit? I'm new

Seeking reassurance on fatigue and recovery
Hi everyone, I've been managing a rollercoaster of symptoms lately and wanted to see if anyone has experienced something similar.
Onset
: Since December 2022, I had recurring, short episodes of fatigue. About once every month, I would feel it coming on (almost like a cold, but with no sinus/respiratory

Has Anyone Had a Virtual Consultation?
Hi, has anyone had a private virtual video consultation with Dr Klein of the Cambridge Iron Clinic? Just wondering how it went and does it work well through this medium. Or, has anyone been referred to him through the NHS? He also works at Papworth hospital. I’m not asking for comments on Dr Klein but

Just need some advice on self injecting.
Just need to come up with a safe plan for what to do about my B12 injections. After several years of symptoms like chronic fatigue, brain fog, dizziness, pins and needles, sore lips, dry skin, breathlessness etc I was finally diagnosed with a B12 deficiency in 2011. My B12 level was 154. By this

Pregabalin and High Blood pressure
Has anyone experienced increased blood pressure with pregabalin? I know that hypotension is a potential side effect but hypertension not mentioned. I have read a bunch of people's experiences with their blood pressures going up quite a bit after taking it. I have been taking it for about 1 month

low serum iron. Normal ferritin
been getting very tired lately. ET (MPL) on pegysus 45ug every 2 weeks. Mentioned fatigue to haematologist and he suggested reducing peg further to 3 weekly. Got the above results after we got home. Restless legs - augmentation - dosis af medicine and iron ?
Now I'm back for advice. It is simply lucky to be able to find help here when you live in a small country where treating restless legs syndrome is not a top priority among doctors. my first question: I see that the iron product I have started to take contains 50 mg of iron added as the iron chelate

Private blood results
Hello again, I have some updated bloods and as predicted by the group, it appears my thyroid levels have dropped to an underactive level. So, I'm going to stop the Carbimazole and test again in 6 weeks. I'll keep taking my Iron and magnesium. Have bought a B complex but it seems to have made me feel

Iron infusion
I had my first iron infusion yesterday. I will be going back next week for another one. I would appreciate any advice, thoughts or comments. I did mention to the hematologist that I would like to get my iron up to 300 but he said you will not attempt what he called “iron saturation”. His aim is to get

Recent bloods .. help
Hi everyone Been having problems over years on levothyroxine , think conversion low . Decided to see private endo for t3 supplementing as nhs would not prescribe . Since December 23 , he lowered my thyroxine dose which was then 125 /150 alternate days but I was having most of the typical hypo symptoms

Folate timing
Good morning, I’m taking folate as we’re trying for a baby and I’ve read this is better than folic acid. My question is do I need to take it at a different time to levothyroxine? I take it 30 mins to an hour after, but I’m not sure if it’s like iron and should be several hours apart. Many thanks for

Constantly bleeding / zoladex
I'm coming to to my 3rd shot of zoladex next week but for the last 5 weeks I've had 3 periods and all have been a week long. I had 5 days respite between 2 and my current period. I'm currently on day 7 and is not letting up, so don't know how much longer this 3rd will go on for. They aren't light,
