B12/Folate/Iron results help?
Please can someone help me interpret my latest blood tests results. NHS are taking no action but I feel so weak and exhausted, dizzy if I bend over or on standing, zero stamina. My bones ache. I don't take any supplements other than Zinc & Selenium. T4 50mg T3 55mg. Last blood test for thyroid NHS says

Anemia of Chronic Disease
My recent CBC yielded numbers that suggested I am anemic. My iron levels are normal and my B12 is also normal, albeit in the low range of normal. I was told that I have anemia of chronic disease caused by my thyroid condition (low functioning thyoid, maybe Hashimoto's). Anyone else have experience

Update 7.3 Good news this time
My HCT had been creeping up over time as my iron levels improved. 12/19 HCT=47.9% and HGB=15.5. Since it was now consistently above target for PV, time to do something. Unfortunately, the liver enzymes were close to 3x/upper limit of normal ALT=157, AST=94.0, ALP=211. We were all in agreement that

Back issues causing rls
I've had rls for a good number of years. I've been on pramipexole, come off it and gone onto gabapentin. I've never thought my rls was caused by lack of iron but I've often thought it was coming from my back. Same symptoms just different cause. I was on 400 mg gabapentin, highest 800mg. I'm now reducing

Request for more levothyroxine following results from Medichecks
Hi all, I’m very upset as had a conversation ( more like a shouting match to be honest) with GP who is insistent that he won’t prescribe more levothyroxine as I’m within range ( after him asking me to send a copy of my medichecks results) because on my request I stated that I should be prescribed iron

Hold on BiTE study
My husband was supposed to start being evaluated for the BiTE study but ended up in the hospital instead. He was low on fluids, iron, calcium, and a number of other things and was too nauseous to eat or drink almost anything. Everyday his blood numbers dropped till his hemoglobin was 6.7 and they transfused

Has anyone watched any of Dr Berg's youtube videos about B1 (Thiamine) deficiency and RLS?
I know RLS is associated with iron dysfunction but the Dr's video's are so very interesting. I've watched a couple of them now and he talks specifically about RLS and B1 deficiences. He mentions a lab test for testing B1 levels. Just wanted to share if anyone has interest in watching. I'm not sure

Like a fool, I've gone and talked myself into graded exercise therapy.
So I've been having a really, really tough few weeks, - well months actually - but last few weeks I've been mostly stuck in bed unable to perform simple cleaning tasks or even bend down and put the washing in the machine without experiencing dizziness and panting heavily when I stand up again and I haven't

Itching with RLS
I am now on 1500mg of Gabapentin but not seeing much relief. At my next MD appointment I will be asking for an iron infusion as my iron levels are just barely at 100. The biggest problem I still have is the itching that I get all over my body with it most active towards evening. Analgesic creams have

Surprised myself
Quick update, particularly for MissUnderstanding, Cmoi, RunforMum and Kirst13 who were all kind enough to respond to my last post where I expressed some doubts about the 'stretch' between W3 and W4. I didn't think I was ready for W4. I spent a lot of time this morning deciding I'd leave it 'till

Just been prescribed t3 and have a few questions…
hi there, I has hashimotos and UAT. I finally went to see a private endo who tested my T3. My blood results were: tSh 0.49 T4 21 and T3 3.1. He said I may benefit from T3 as I’m not converting t4 to t3 well enough. I’m currently taking 100mg levo and have been for 6 months (gp started me on 125 and

Blood donations and ferritin levels.
Hi all, I used to be a regular blood donor when I was younger, then due to regulations when I moved to Ireland, I was unable to donate for years (they had a ban on donations for anyone who had lived in the UK due to CJD/mad cow disease). Anyway.....That has been lifted now and I donated for the fiest

Hello all, my little daughter has RLS. We had her iron tested and they have says she is deficient. I am wondering if anyone has a good specialist they would recommend for me to see? Ideally a holistic person to help me with dosage and co-factor supplementation? One specialist who is a top expert in

Iron tests included in bloodwork?
Hello! Have been on hydroxy a year now and platelets are just beneath 400. I also have begun experiencing really nasty fatigue and wonder why ferritin the a not included in bloodwork? I have seen pretty low iron levels and will begin supplementing with follow-up test I had to request. Anyone else questioned

Some Blood Results are in...? Hmmm,,...?
Hi Folks I had a range of tests this week, FBC, TSH, Liver function, Kidney function, Vit D, Potassium, and Folate. But no Active B12 or Active Iron or IF test. The MMA result has yet to come in. Here are the results of the B12, but also the others that ( to me ) are the below range or low
