Daughters results after altering her dose.
Hi I posted 18 days ago regarding my daughter who had lost three stone in weight but had still been taking her usual dose of 150mcg. levo. She was having really bad sweating at night so we thought she might be on too much levo. now with the weight loss. She reduced to 100mcg. which she took for ten

Itchy skin with no rash
Wondering if anyone else has itchy skin? I've been SI B12 for a year and been feeling much better for the last 3 months, so reducing injections to 1 per week (sometimes less). However, in the last few weeks I have had terribly itchy skin, particularly around my front trunk but also in my scalp, hands

Which test - Medichecks or Monitor My Health?
I am plucking up the courage to do a finger prick test after some positive feedback from my earlier post, thanks everyone for the replies. I am torn between the Medichecks Advanced Thyroid Function Blood Test @£68.80 or the Monitor My Health Screen £65 (less 10% discount). I have only done one private

Infusion how long to "kick in"? Hehe.
I finally got my iron infusion (yay!) but it hasn't "kicked in" yet. No pun intended. Last night I had one of my worst yet. Zero sleep and threw up water & zofran all night. When I had my infusions in 2020 I was fresh out of COVID hospital and quite ill with pleural effusions... plus having been

In regards to my last post ...
Hey, I posted up about having some blood tests, well I went in this morning and had them done. I also didn't take my iron tablets since Saturday and I didn't take any others I was on since Tuesday night. On the form T3 was missed out, I only had TSH and T4 on there, so I actually asked the lady that

Maybe I have more than PA...
So, I was diagnosed last year by a PA expert with functional B12 deficiency PA (non-autoimmune), and initially responded to 1ml B12 SI every other day. Then we consulted after 10 weeks or so and he asked me to reduce to every third day. I started to get an increases in symptoms after a few weeks. So

Very low iron at same time as previously controlled rheumatoid arthritis is now very much out of control.
I've been diagnosed with RA and Lupus for over 35 years. I went through most of the known drugs over many years before being accepted on Enbrel which was amazing and gave me back a quality of life I never thought I regain. However I was switched to Benopali under the assumption it was the same generic

Dear wonderful knowledgeable and kind people, sorry to call on you again! In summary - last year I was on 75mcg Levothyroxine for hashimotos. Always tired, weak, often low mood and brain fog. Update 7.3 Good news this time
My HCT had been creeping up over time as my iron levels improved. 12/19 HCT=47.9% and HGB=15.5. Since it was now consistently above target for PV, time to do something. Unfortunately, the liver enzymes were close to 3x/upper limit of normal ALT=157, AST=94.0, ALP=211. We were all in agreement that

Back issues causing rls
I've had rls for a good number of years. I've been on pramipexole, come off it and gone onto gabapentin. I've never thought my rls was caused by lack of iron but I've often thought it was coming from my back. Same symptoms just different cause. I was on 400 mg gabapentin, highest 800mg. I'm now reducing

Serum Ferritin
Hello Just a query My Ferratin levels are 83 and Serum Folate is 4.7 my Heart Nurse wants me to have an Iron Infusion on the 11th April. She has also phoned me and said I should phone and ask for a GP appointment to see what is causing the lower levels of Ferratin, Heart Nurse did say this could

Hold on BiTE study
My husband was supposed to start being evaluated for the BiTE study but ended up in the hospital instead. He was low on fluids, iron, calcium, and a number of other things and was too nauseous to eat or drink almost anything. Everyday his blood numbers dropped till his hemoglobin was 6.7 and they transfused

Has anyone watched any of Dr Berg's youtube videos about B1 (Thiamine) deficiency and RLS?
I know RLS is associated with iron dysfunction but the Dr's video's are so very interesting. I've watched a couple of them now and he talks specifically about RLS and B1 deficiences. He mentions a lab test for testing B1 levels. Just wanted to share if anyone has interest in watching. I'm not sure
