Is it necessary to fast prior to doing a full iron panel test?
Does anyone know whether the results are adversely affected by eating and drinking prior to drawing blood for an iron panel test? I’m talking at home, finger prick testing. Thanks.

Buprenorphine
Good Morning, I wondered if anyone could help with the following. I have had a call from my GP asking me to go in to see him about a couple of Liver Blood Tests I have had recently which show elevated SERUM GAMMA GT and ALT/SGPT serum levels. I want to be prepared in case he says that the Buprenorphine

Referred to private Endo - London; advice and recommendations please
Hi all, I have just been referred by the GP to an Endo. I was hoping that someone could privately DM me with recommendations for private endos in central London. I am also wondering whether I could be suffering from Hashimotos hyperthyroid flare ups: To recap; I have hashimotos, and had a hemithyroidectomy

Eye issues related to hypothyroidism
Hi all, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in January of this year and started on 50mg levothyroxine. I’m having bloods every six weeks and working on my iron, vitamin D levels, folate and selenium. I’ll add my test results at the end for info. Overall I am feeling much better but I developed eye

Today I had my review for my iron levels, I'll give you the short version. They were 179 in November post iron infusion and now at 101. Pregabalin Journey
Hi Just a quick reach out to the RLS community. I’m still using 150mg of Pregabalin along with daily iron tablets (hard to get infusion on nhs) Iron levels are slowly increasing but it is slow!! I’m at Oain Clinic today as part of Fibromyalgia check up. Whilst pregabalin is keeping my RLS at bay

First time poster overwhelmed with symptoms and considering self-medicating with bovine adrenals & NDT. Asking for advice & recommendations
TLDR: First time poster diagnosed Hashimotos and POI, investigating IBS which is potentially also autoimmune cause. Fatigue, depression and anxiety are ruining my life. Low Adrenal Index Test results so considering self-medicating with Bovine Adrenals. High TSH and anti thyroid antibodies, but low-end-of-normal

Please advise - symptoms worsening
Hi all, As you may remember from previous posts, I’m still borderline anaemic and so I increased my iron dosage as per instructions several weeks ago. My FT3 has also plummeted from a decade average of 6 to now 4.8 (range 3.1-6.8) I’m getting horrific migraines (they start with blinding auras). I stopped

When to take iron with T3 multi-dosing
I'm trying to work out when to fit in taking iron (Three arrows) with my T3 doses. I am taking T3 as per my private Dr's schedule which is 3 times per day and 6-7 hours apart. I'm wondering whether to switch to x2 per day or can I close the gap and make it shorter than 6 hours and then take iron before

PV Research study
There was a full page article in my local newspaper to be part of an Phase 3 investigational drug study for ppl with PV. The drug is called rusfertide - it says it is designed to control the amount of iron available to make red blood cells. There is no financial compensation to be part of the study

The recent AASM Draft Guidelines
I finally had a chance to look at the recent AASM Draft Guidelines. I was surprised by a number of things. They should have had something between conditional for and conditional against. Why did they choose those particular things? Some don't even have much relevance to improving RLS such as antidepressants
