Hi folks,

Just wondering if this is normal common. I have been on supplements now for about 5 weeks. I'm feeling a million times better more energised normal but I have an insatiable hunger. Especially for chocolate. Its really only in the past. I have put up half stone in those weeks.

I am taking, b12, vit D, iron, n complex, acv tablets, probiotic.

This happen to anyone else.

Many thanks x

All vitamins were absolutely dire in your recent tests, as discussed here

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Retest thyroid and vitamins 6-8 weeks after adding last vitamin supplement

What vitamins are you now taking

Have you had full iron panel test for anaemia

Are you now on iron supplements or just increasing iron rich foods in your diet

Thank slow dragon for your response.

I am on b12, n complex iron, vit d probiotic and avc.

To be honest I'm feeling a bit hyper jittery and nearly too much energy dare I say it. My mind feels like it's racing and I'm feel a bit anxious and for no reason..

I will get my bloods tested again. It's quite expensive here in Ireland too far this done and especially so often. All the tests and consultants fees gp visits, supplements janey mackers...but it has been 6 weeks now so good to see where I am at.

I saw bloods from 3 years ago, tsh . 79 and T4 was 15.5.. Not sure of ranges of the top of my head but unsure if this meant something.

In still learning about all this business.

Thank you anyway x

If you're putting on weight rapidly, it's unlikely to be fat, more like water-retention, which is what usually happens with hypo. So, first of all, you need to make sure your thyroid hormone levels are good.

If they're not, then your appetite has nothing to do with your weight-gain, nor your weight-gain to do with diet. Your increased appetite is probably due to your nutritional deficiencies. However, you probably have low stomach acid - most hypos do - so maybe fixing that first would be a good idea.

Craving chocolate usually means low magnesium, which wouldn't be surprising. So, are you taking any magnesium? If not, maybe you should do so. :)
