My wife and I took a trip of ~100 miles to visit my brother who is in
intensive
care
. As I think I have mentioned before, I am legally blind and do not drive. My wife drives but considers it the bane of her existence.

Went in for lung biopsy and came out having had cardiac arrest and stroke.
I woke up in
intensive
care
, they said that I went into cardiac arrest and then I was having a small stroke which they call it a transient ischaemic attack which means a small stroke. It last a few hours and then I just had to rest in the hospital over night.

The Paul Briggs Story
Every so often a case comes before a court that highlights why a universal, common sense approach to recording people's health and care preferences, values and wishes could save enormous anxiety. This is the story of Paul Briggs. A court is being asked to decide whether he can be allowed to die. I wouldn't

Life without a stomach
The operation did not go as planned as I was in hospital six weeks, three weeks of which I spent in
Intensive
Care
. When I arrived home I was on my own and left to 'get on with it'. It's taken a long time to get to where I'm now at, but I've learned a lot of lessons along the way.

Continuous hospitalisation
Jeff was sent to
Intensive
Care
, then onto HDU and now he is on a ward. I left Jeff for 10 - 15 minutes at the most to get a cup of tea and when I returned he was on the floor looking as though he'd had a stroke.

Never knew the consequences
I fitted in labour and had to have a emergency c section and then went into
intensive
care
for one night. Then put in a room with no lights for approximately 4 days, not knowing my baby at this point.

Hello Everyone, I contracted meningococcal septicaemia on the 27th February 2016 and was admitted to
intensive
care
where my family were told the next 48 hours would tell us whether I would survive or not. I however have no memory of this.

The below story is my eleven years in full. This should hopefully explain the highs and lows during this time. This has been used by my local MP who has taken it forward to the health department to hopefully obtain a substantive response as to why the drug has been removed from the NICE list? My story

I am new here and thought I would share my recent experiences. TSH was low 0.09 so Levo was reduced by 25 to 100 however,
Her feet were so painful she told me it was like walking on the bones and she thought she was dying and didn't
care
. After
intensive
iron treatment she has recovered but will be on iron for the rest of her life.
