What Should I Do After a Slip Up?
What do you do if you accidentally slip up and eat too many carbs? What can you do to overcome a weight plateau? And what about food cravings during your period? I slipped up today and ate too many carbs! What to do? How big of a set back is this going to be? Have I completely undone all the right

Men B - my daughter's story
She spent 6 days in
Intensive
care
and 5 more on the respiratory ward. She was very poorly, but so lucky to pull through. She is now 11 weeks in to her recovery. She is still very weak, has more weakness down her left side so finds it hard to walk any distance.

Radiate pelvic lymph nodes or start Provenge and Enzalutamide ??
DaVinci RP in Nov 2012, Gleason 9 and PSA was 2.0 at 3 month check. Rad Onc advised salvage IMRT not likely to help as PSA was indicating systemic disease so we began continuous ADT which took PSA below .1 for the next 3 yrs. In Jan 2016 my PSA was again at 2.0 and we revisited the salvage RT option

Christmas Day chores
Hi all, taking time out to catch up with you all. My son has told me he wants a proper Christmas lunch/supper (35 going on 10) so I am preparing veggies, gravy and roasting a chuck (not turkey as only 2 of us). It is something I did not want to do but it is strangely relaxing there is no time schedule

The Long Goodbye
This is the title of one of my favourite novels. It also seems to be the way PSP works. A little more than 15 months after the final diagnosis, Bugs died at 6.30am yesterday. She had been in hospital since mid October. Firstly admitted because of urinary retention, then developed UTI. A CHC assessment

Usefulness of Serum Triiodothyronine (T3) to Predict Outcomes in Patients Hospitalized With Acute Heart Failure
Low free T3 correlated with an increased length of stay in the hospital (median 11 vs 7 days, p <0.001) and higher rates of
intensive
care
unit admission (31.8% vs 16.9%, p = 0.047), with a trend toward increased need for invasive mechanical ventilation (9.0% vs 1.4%, p = 0.056).
