I Need advice
The blood test showed high testosterone and

but nothing to do with my throat and face and neck. And every thing else came back normal. I’m thinking of going back to the doctors next week and specifically asking them to check my salivary glands.

“early time-restricted feeding"
Lots of posting on diet here, but my daughter just shared this article with me and I thought I'd share it here, because it includes what I think is a perfect summary of how many of us might better approach eating (with a possible shift of focus to WHEN and how often rather than WHAT, or how much), especially

I would like to thank everyone of you for the support and kind words and most of all advice. I have only just started looking into what fibro actually is and does. I have to admit that I am almost as ignorant as most doctors about the facts. I must also point out I may not have it. I have no proof and

General Update on Partner
Hello everyone, I thought I’d give an update on my partner who was readmitted to hospital with high blood sugar levels. He has now been diagnosed with diabetes. At one stage his sugar level was over 70! This is being treated with insulin in hospital. My partner is back to his old self and knows exactly

Gestational Diabetes help
I have just been told I am on the cusp of having gestational diabetes so I am having to monitor it over the next few days. What are other people's experience of this? Did many of you have to have insulin injections? Or did you take metformin?

Are these results normal?
Hi! I’m new here. I have been struggling with my endo for a diagnosis. About a year ago I had many blood draws where my TSH was very low, my T4 was low and my T3 was normal. I was not medicated. My doctor did not know how to treat me, but I was very hypo symptomatic. After some time my TSH regulated

Free syringes
Hi there - I have about 100 x of these BD U-100 1ml. Insulin syringes with needle. All obviously sealed and unsused. I am happy to post them to anyone who needs them - I am no longer Self Injecting - as I had developed histamine intolerance and possibly Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and became more

It's all about your gut health!!
Fire is represented in your digestion 'All disease begins in the gut' is attributed to the wise Ancient Greek physician, Hippocrates. He said a lot of pretty awesome stuff. Including his deep philosophy that all disease has a natural cause. That addressing imbalances, often originating in the gut, harnesses

I am a 70 Yr old male, having severe back stiffness for the last two days - Can't bend or walk without stinging pain for no apparent reason ! This happened overnight while I was bending to brush my teeth..... I'm type II diabetic and take insulin, under control - My B12 injection every 3 months was delayed

First day of LCHF lifestyle
Good morning everyone As the title suggests today is the first day of my change for life. After researching and years of yo-yo dieting I came to the conclusion that dieting does not work, what I need is a complete change of lifestyle. I have PCOS which means basically I’m insulin resistant. I think

Trying to get to grips with APS
I’m sorry to be a huge pain but I am on several other HU Forums, not because I do or don’t want to be but because I’ve just learned of yet another diagnosis which medics have found. I just can’t believe it. I’m scared to go anywhere near a surgery, clinic or hospital in case they find anything else

Inulin and psyllium
I just replied to a post with this information which might spark some responses...... I had to include the graph because it really made me laugh! (PS = psyllium, WD = wheat dextrin) The serious bit: - Inulin is a type of fructo-oligosaccharide, or FOS, that helps to feed the "friendly" bacteria in

SALT!
Remember that the average body NEEDS 6gm of salt a day and that it's insulin, not sodium that drives hypertension. Insulin hangs on to sodium, sodium increases blood volume which drives up blood pressure and thus elevates pressure on the kidneys. Typical of anyone with T2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome
