Inguinal Hernia Surgery
I just had dual
Inguinal
and a single umbilical
hernia
performed on Friday. I noticed the 2
inguinal
hernias after a race in November and knew about the other one but it never really hurt before and decided to get them taken care of all at once.

Don't know why I never asked advice from you lovely ladies before. I am sure someone out there has an answer or can give me some advice. I have a permanent colostomy following debulking surgery in November 2012. Never knew I was going to have one so it was a bit of a shock. I must admit I have never

Has anyone had surgery and been told afterwards that surgery was difficult due to multiple adhesions?
Previously had a D&C due to miscarriage and severe infection, C-Section and within the last 5 months I've had my Gallbladder removed and six weeks ago a abdominal hernia repair. The last 2 surgeons have commented on that surgery was difficult as I have a lot of adhesions which some had to be removed

I'm out of hospital - thanks for all the good wishes.
My surgery did go ahead on Wednesday, though I did begin to wonder if it would, as I was gowned up for over 6 hours before anything happened. I'm feeling pretty good and not in too much pain. My tummy is quite swollen but I'm guessing it will be a couple of weeks before the swelling goes down. My biggest

10 days to start day.
I'm getting very excited and wishing it was Monday week. Husband/running partner has had a hernia repair and can't run before Monday week...or drive us to park where we'll run. I'm exercising hard at home with Lesley Sansone's "5 mile walk" DVD but have done it so long I'm bored. Reading everyone else's
