Hi. I had an ingunial hernia repair 8 weeks ago. Still slightly sore. Desperate to start running again. When should I begin?

Hi CP44 - it kind of depends on what advice your doctor gave. Maybe have a chat with your GP to see what they reccomend as to when you can start?

Are you able to do a bit of walking first? A sort of gentler introduction back to running

Your doc might be the best person to ask as he will know all the ins and outs of the op. You wouldn't want to blow all that good work by going running too soon

Definitely have a chat with your GP first and, once you are given the all clear to start again take it very gently for a while. Best wishes.
