Absolutely no idea.

Have you tried asking the hospital or consultant who referred you?

Paton, thanks for the reply. As it's for my husband, I have not tried this yet. If we get any answers, I will post them here! Although lots of information says you can find waiting times for your treatment/hospital on the NHS Choices website, I cannot find them there.

Give the PALS service at the hospital a call, and they should be able to find out for you (Patient Advice and Liaison Service). Hospitals do have target waiting times for most things, but be aware that even if they have a target, it will typically be something like "85% of people will be seen in 12 weeks" - so 15% won't. Its a nice cop-out really. They also seem to be very flexible in how they count the time in some areas - I know a friend of mine is really on an indefinite wait because they keep on saying that she has elected to defer surgery, when its actually not her fault - her surgeon wanted to make sure she stayed on his list and not one of the other surgeons, so they are saying that she isn't available to take the first options. Kind of crazy as she doesn't care who does the op, and if she'd been on the general list she would have had it done weeks ago.
