Why taking anti-inflammatories including Pred could lead to a stomach ulcer
Dr Mark Porter who is a working GP writes most weeks in The Times. The link to today's article is below because he mentions steroids as well. I hope it opens. If it doesn't I can cut a paste the parts of interest. https://www.thetimes.com/article/184977ba-beb6-4db5-ad10-62e8fbb57add?shareToken=caa43823ee68fa182865e92faa5502b2

Upper left pain …gastro update
Just a quick update which hopefully helps others. I’ve just had an upper endoscopy and this showed mild gastritis. I’m very fortunate to have a great NHS doctor who listened to my concerns and supported me gaining assurances that there is nothing seriously wrong. I’ve still got the upper left quarter

Adenmyosis and Constipation
I found out recently that adenmyosis can cause bad bouts of constipation, which explains a lot for me. However all the dr’s do is plug me with laxitives and tell me to eat prunes (which I have explained doesn’t help) because (and I apologise if this is TMI) my stools aren’t hard, it’s not a fibre intake

I was diagnosed with Behcets in 2018 followed by breast cancer in 2022. (Interesting to note inflammation in biopsy even for that). It was all fairly well controlled but I was not thriving as such and Nov 23 showed a new symptom - eye inflammation. Basically I read about a study in Birmingham where a

Post laparotomy
Hello dear ladies, I am 5 days post my debulking surgery which went quite well. So far I have not had major issues… except bowel problems. Now they are talking about post op ileus or intestinal paralysis. Has anyone experienced this complication? What was done to treat it

Ivermectin Vs. Broccoli, etc. Video
I thought this was interesting and recently was posted. At the end 10:54, he mentions that versus IVM there are other perhaps more targeted to various pathways with natural phytochemical found in vegetables and fruits like Resveritrol (grape skins), Curcumin, EGCG (Green Tea), Quercetin (Apple skins

Chronic pain after prostatectomy
My friend had robotic prostatectomy in May 2019. In the almost 5 years since he has experienced daily abdominal pain. He has seen numerous doctors but none of them have been able to diagnose the source of the pain. He is an invalid due to this problem. Does anyone else know of a similar case? Any

TruQap progress-lower TM
I posted about beginning this newly approved FDA drug in December. My blood tests last week showed that my TM dropped by 135 points. This is added to the Fulvestrant jabs I started around spring 2023. The combination seems to be going well so far. I was previously on Ibrance for several years until

Terrible stomach pain with Adrenavive I
I swapped to Adrenavive I from Adrenavive II at the beginning of June. Since starting the new product I've found it gives me horrible stomach pains, last week to the point of vomiting. The pains eventually subside but it takes around 4-5 hours. I get these pains despite eating before taking the product

Would I absorb B12 in tablet form if I had PA?
Hi all, On a hunt to figure out the cause of my continued iron loss... Had an iron infusion in July 2021 and I'm now back to deficiency. GP has done all they can, confirmed by private GP. The guidelines now assume iron loss is related to periods... except mine are very light and only last a day so

Post Covid B12 and Vitamin D crash
Hi,I have had multiple health problems since my first bout of Covid in 2022, and blood panels revealed low B12, D and very low ferritin (11). I started having B12 injections and got my ferritin to 159 and my folate up to 45 from 5. I was feeling healthy and many of my symptoms had stopped. I had been
