hello every one i have that THING CALLED COPD YUK YUK . i am fed up with mucus , i went into my local chemist asked the chap anything to help getrid of mucus he went straight to the shelf BENYLIN CHESTY COUGH ORIGINAL under neath the writing says DIPHENHYDRAMINE @ LEVOMENTHOL well i can honestly say tweo teaspoons of this does help clear themucus not nice taste but ok . So try it people it def does help me i took two teaspoons about 12 pm today feel ok xxx lots of love Sandra xxx

Oh mucous can be real issue can’t it ?

I steer clear of cough remedies from the pharmacy because many of them suppress the cough making an infection more likely.

When mucous becomes sticky then I drink more water to thin it out, especially in the warmer weather.

Also use mucous clearing methods given to me by the respiratory team. Eg huff method and so on.

The helpline can probably advise on these for you.

Hi devon29 thank you for sharing the info for mucus clearance. You like myself realised its whats in the bottle not just the trade name that counts . Some are cough suppressants and some are expectorants. The chemist was very good to know that as some assistants don't always know what they are selling, but times are changing. My great granddaughter is going on a training course to become a pharmacist which means she has to learn all about the drugs the chemist sells and dispenses.
