Hello all, I bumped into an old friend in the supermarket that I hadn’t seen for a while and passed pleasantries, told him he was looking well (much better than when I had last seen him 2yrs prior). We were both in a hurry though so went on our separate ways. Today my brother told me that he too had

Hi, I’ve had 4 inputs over several months from GP’s and consultants with hope being built up then crashed. I am on 3 monthly jabs, as with so many others, is no where near enough. I’ve had the loading doses which returned me to normal functioning half way through 2nd week. Took bloods after last jab

If you followed my recent post, you'll remember that I was ecstatic to have had a consultation with the team at Royal Marsden Cancer Clinic, where I was told that my PET scan of June, my PSA of June (4.4) and my overall good health meant that they felt I needed nothing more than dexamethasone and there

Help getting B12 injections
A few years ago it was discovered that I had very low B12. The gp prescribed liquid but I wasn’t absorbing orally so he changed it to injections. The loading dose made such a difference and thereafter i had a B12 injection every 13 weeks. Then it all just stopped. The surgery decided they were

Sick and tired
I'm 57, had anxiety and depression as long as I can remember. I'm so tired. I don't want to deal with it anymore. My family is tired of it so I don't talk about it. I have run my friends off in a big fight early this year. My boyfriend is sweet and tries to understand but doesn't get it. My doc wants

New machine learning model could enable targeted gene therapies for genetic diseases
A cure is coming Johns Hopkins University biomedical engineers have developed a machine-learning model that could one day lead to therapies to treat genetic diseases like cancer and diabetes. New MRI finding
Yesterday I had an MRI due to some back pain. I had an MRI, pet scan in February and clean CAT scan in June. Plus all of my labs have been perfect. Now they’re telling me that they see a 2.1 CM metastasis on my L2 area of my spine. I am a bit freaked out but I’m trying to wrap my head around this.

hu CAR-T 19 IL-18 4th Generation Clinical Trial 90 Day Check-up With All of My Favorite Tests
It's been a long time since I have received a MRD negative diagnosis, 13 years to be exact, after my FCR treatment. All of the other treatments didn't require a BMB to confirm a negative reading, I had a few remissions, but they were just on paper. My blood counts were good, and I felt fine, but a relapse

Radiation for Salvage Treatment
I am about to start salvage treatment after a failed surgery and a rising PSA value of 0.1. However, I would like to know if weeks of external radiation with ADT, is the best treatment option here. The idea of blindly radiating pelvic area with a re-recurrence a few years later does not appeal to me.
