There isn't a diagnosed history of Coeliac disease in my family but my brother has chosen to follow a
gluten

diet
to minimize bloating - I think this is why my GP has decided to investigate. My sister has been diagnosed with hypothyroid - I share alot of the symptoms that she has.

Vegans save the planet (possibly)
Jerry raised an important point the other day concerning human health and the health of the planet. While it’s fashionable these days to tout meat-free diets as a cure for global warming (I think Angela Merkel was the latest to make a statement along those lines) it’s not really that simple. Some facts

Hysterectomy at 38
I did a
gluten
free
diet
with limited success. At 31 I had another laparoscopy where they lasered the endo and six months of prostap injections. After that my husband and I tried for a baby for nearly two years. I had my eldest daughter and two and a half years later we had our second daughter.

Iga nephritis - gluten free diet
Hello, I was just wondering if anyone else had heard or knew of a strong link between iga nephritis and gluten intolerance or other digestive issues? Zinc
Since being diagnosed with macular degeneration recently I have been taking a supplement containing lutein. It also contains zinc. I seem to remember hearing/seeing something about zinc being contraindicated for taking when using predisolone for pmr. I have pmrgca, into third year, down, at second attempt

Probably, you've all heard of the recent study from Harvard that disses on the low-carb diet. Here's a rebuttal.

LCHF could be a boon for Diabetes if practised scientifically, but beginners may face a challenge if he is a vegetarian !
As a T2, You feel great with LCHF diet - thanks to this forum, you keep getting tips from the veterans to overcome the initial hurdles. It is a science - now getting recognised all over as a solution for obesity and diabetes. Once you undetstand the science and practice LCHF, you don't feel like

High B12/Folate, Twitching, Tingling, Tinnitus
Hi all, Recently had bloods done as I have symptoms that suggest B12 deficiency (the frequent, random, all-over muscle twitching is particularly annoying/worrisome). B12: 924 pg/mL Folate: 21.1 ng/mL I had 4 once-weekly B12 + B-complex injections back in June, and the twitching started around then

Absorption query
This may be a silly question but if my absorption of levothroxine is better through recent changes (
gluten
free
diet
and taking vitamins ) does this mean that my TSH level will become lower? It is already maybe slightly too low at 0.16. But T3 levels are too low also.

A little advice
Hi ladies and Gents. as well as doing Couch to 5k, I have started LCHF way of eating, would you say ill be ok doing both? I want to lose weight which I can feel coming off in inches but not the scales but I just wondered if it would be healthy to do both, should I just go with it and see how I feel?

Gentle muscle building exercise, any tips?
My arms are pretty puny, I would like to build some muscles up. I am frightened I am wasting away. Small frame 5' 6", 118lbs. I keep to a low carb, high fibre diet with lots of protein. Feeling fragile and I don't want to be waving my arms around and getting sore for no purpose
