Daily pain for 5 months. I can’t go on like this. Please help.
I have gone off the pill/started a
gluten
free
diet
/avoided alcohol in order to try and help with the pain. I have had internal/external scans and multiple blood tests. I have shown my doctor a pain/symptom tracker and a food diary. What should I do next?

Carb cravings and - Muffins!
Just a short one. One of the problems with transitioning to a largely low carb high fat lifestyle is the inevitable craving for bread, potatoes, rice and pasta. When I was a child it was only bread and potatoes - pasta was largely unknown, and rice was a pudding. Anyway, many, many low carb recipes

47 year old male, being taking a small steroid (very weak) for another condition (around a year now) which is working well. I am uncircumcised, and around taking this (i'm sure it tallies), I get a morning discharge on waking up. White liquid, sometimes yellowy, before jumping in the shower. Foreskin

Low Protein Diet
I'm starting a low protein diet and allowed 46 grams a day. I have a few questions: (1) does this allowance involve both plant and animal protein; (2] if it involves plant protein, does the plant protein have to be "complete " proteins or just any proteins; (3) if I only eat 30 grams on a day, can

How to Increase BDNF
So somebody over on FB posted they were taking BDNF for PD anxiety (or maybe just for anxiety) so I Googled and found BDNF = Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor and BDNF supplements do not contain Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor. But I did find this article on strongcoffee.com. https://strongcoffeecompany.com

Dipyridamole, Adenosine and RLS (Oh My)
Warning, this stuff below is boring. Read only if you have insomnia. I am trying to understand the effects of Dipyridamole and Adenosine in RLS. In reading all the papers, I have been taking notes. It's interesting to me that some of the things I have been reading about are quite common to read

How do you all get your calories on a low protein diet?
My husband is trying to eat as low protein as possible while still eating healthy and getting 2000 calories per day. He's only 142 pounds so he cannot afford to lose weight. We found on Kidney.org that is says to add syrup from canned fruit or to eat candy. We think that that is terrible advice. Anyone

Weight gain
Hi. Does anyone have any problems with weight gain? I hear a lot about people losing weight but mine just keeps going up! I walk everyday with my dogs and aim to do over 10,000 steps each day. Although I’m not on a strict weight loss diet I do try to eat healthy meals. I have gained a stone since Christmas

Gluten free , low lectins lifestyle
Who else has adopted a gluten free , low or no lectins, low carb lifestyle? I have been gluten free and almost grain free , low carbs, heaps of veges, for over a year. I’m now working on reducing lectins and reintroducing a little of the healthiest of grains, just the gluten and low/no lectin sort

Update with Nephrology, Losartan discontinued from my treatment plan
To give an update for today, I talked with Nephrology and losartan was discontinued for now. I was told that hypoglycemia was a rare side effect of the medication so they would like for me to repeat labs in 2-4 weeks. As for my kidney function decreasing, I was told that the increase in BUN and Creatinine

Low carb diet and high dose prednisone
Hi everyone, I am just wondering if the level of prednisone affects whether or not the low carb diet prevents weight gain. I have gca and have been on high dose prednisone for several weeks now . I am still on 50 mg as I am still having some issues with lingering jaw claudication. I see a rheumatologist
