Probably had fibro for over a decade, new diagnosis few months ago. Bitter/sweet diagnosis, I feel 'seen' in some aspect, having had blood tests etc for years without any suggestion of a reason for feeling widespread pain & low mood/energy. So to get a possible reason, was weirdly somewhat of a validation

After 30 years of marriage, a husband and wife went for counseling. The wife went into a tirade, listing every problem they had ever had in the years they had been married. On and on and on, she went: neglect, lack of intimacy, emptiness, loneliness, feeling unloved and unlovable, an entire laundry-list

Is anyone in the group interested in genetic research about NASH?
We are working with Sano Genetics to encourage more research into the genetics that predispose someone to liver disease. As part of that they are convening a focus group to gather patient perspectives. We want to encourage the adoption of genetic testing as part of normal patient care. If you have

Living along with a TBI
Hi all. Anyone in this situation - how do you deal with it? Three months into TBI and maybe making some minor progress (very hard to tell) but a long way to go yet. The thing I'm really struggling with is isolation. I can normally get through the week, but weekends are the crux - I've had one *wonderful

Rejection Sensitivity
Hi everyone, I'm new here (first post). I was diagnosed with ASD in 2021, after lifelong issues around socialising/social anxiety, Generalised Anxiety Disorder and depression. The diagnosis didn't come as a shock to me, as I had suspected for quite a while that I may be Autistic - however, I found

Help with test results - haemochromatosis with iron deficiency?
A few years ago I regularly had blood tests which showed high iron levels so my doc suspected Haemochromatosis. I had the genetic testing which showed I had the gene mutation. I used to get blood drawn to treat it and bring down my iron levels. However, recently I had blood tests which showed low ferritin

in a pit I can’t get out of.
I am no stranger to this depression and anxiety. But need support. I have spiralled downwards. Have stopped leaving the house, not getting washed and no decent sleep as I lie about all day. I invited friends for coffee tomorrow , but had to cancel. Hadn’t strength to tidy up and clean house or myself

Emotional regulation…..
When I was diagnosed with ADHD, at age 30, I began taking medication. With kids, a family and career, my schedule was good 7 days a week. Twenty years later…. My schedule isn’t as consistent, my kids are gone, and I get ‘overwhelmed‘ so easily. I am just now learning about my emotional dysregulation

A Touchy Subject
While this podcast isn't up there with the various postings on FPC from those who have a leaning towards the science. And given that most readers on this particular hub of HU are a considerable distance from their initial treatment and, if enduring this particular side effect of standard of care medication

Wife/Mother of ADHD Family
My husband and two middle school age children all have ADHD. All 3 are medicated and this does help but not nearly enough. I. I love my family dearly, but often times I just simply do not want to be in the same house with them. On most days, I feel like I am drowning and sinking deeper into depression

Managing emotional space with 25 year old ADHD daughter
I'm thankful to be part of this group and to hear everyone's stories. My child is 25 years old and living in a different state. When she was in high school and still living with us, she was diagnosed with anxiety and depression, but also impairment of executive function skills, which probably should
