Sorry to be on here again…… can anyone help me work out if my Moderate Aortic Regurgitation should be making me so terrified. I am being checked only annually. Should I pay for more regular checks. I am finding no pleasure in life because of this crippling fear. I am having counselling. On anxiety

Breathing anxiety when travelling on buses
Hi all, hope you’re having a restful bank holiday. I have Emphysema and I just wanted to ask members if anyone suddenly starts to have difficulty breathing when getting on public transport especially when the bus is quite full. I’ve never experienced this until around a month ago when one afternoon

Hopeless
I'm getting so hopeless that this depressive episode(6 months)is not going to lift. It feels like I am stuck & this is who I am now. Worthless, hopeless, nothing to look forward to. Work, couch, overeat, sleep, repeat. Gaining weight which worsens depression & increases self loathing. Im seeing a provider

Tinnitus stops for a few days after flying
Hello, I've suffered from tinnitus for seven years and was wondering if anyone has had similar experience in relation to being exposed to changes in pressure. My T presents as a variable low frequency tone/vibration, it seemed to start after I did Helicopter Underwater Escape Training for work in 2017

Stress
I now understand that stress caused my flare. Work issues and my son's divorce both hit this fall and continued through February. Thus the jump in pain and consequently having to jump up from 2 years of 4.5 mg to 15. I am understanding this condition more and more every day. I am determined to keep

Mental health support
Hi all Does anyone know how/where I can get some mental health support/therapy, specifically for fertility/miscarriage? I've tried my GP but they've just given me a link to the miscarriage association who don't provide counselling! I had three rounds of IVF last year and all ended in early miscarriage

Two week wait activity suggestions
Hi all Hope you're all well! I am currently 4dp5dt (I think... Still getting used to the lingo!). I have pretty much resigned myself to a negative test/I feel like my period is definitely about to happen BUT we had our first counselling session this morning and they were wonderful and suggested trying

Ruminating’s causing me distress.
Hello everyone, could anyone help me deal with my constant ruminating. It’s causing me distress and anguish constantly, even sleeping’s a problem. I openly admit I’m a people pleaser and go out of my way to receive approval and praise. I’ve done it since childhood and have had counselling for it. It

Tumors Shrinking!
Brave Bold Cancer Thrivers, I am ER+, HER2 negative and I, finally after four months, have an oncologist I just love (she's so thorough with everything and very kind and caring), and my treatment is working! I am on Ibrance and letrozole and in only 2 months majority of the tumors have shrunk in half

Multiple conditions leading to burnout
Hi everyone, Any constructive advice welcome. To give context, I have PCOS, endo, degenerative discs, lymphocytic colitis and my gynae now thinks I have adenomyosis too. I also suffer with frequent migraines. My consultant has recently advised I am likely to need a hysterectomy and has discussed injections

Do you or someone you know have a diagnosis of Autosomal Recessive Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type-17?
If you or someone you know has a genetically confirmed diagnosis of Autosomal Recessive Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type-17 (SCAR17), you could take part in a new survey about starting a family. The charity Genetic Alliance UK, of which Ataxia UK is a member, are currently sharing a consultation survey
