I am currently 4dp5dt (I think... Still getting used to the lingo!).
I have pretty much resigned myself to a negative test/I feel like my period is definitely about to happen BUT we had our first counselling session this morning and they were wonderful and suggested trying to find something to occupy my brain in this wait.
I normally run/swim a lot but have just felt too exhausted recently and am worried about infection/blaming the running of it doesn't work! I also like to journal but have just started always writing about IVF!
Does anyone have any suggestions of activities, tww yoga videos, meditation suggestions i can Google, good books, TV programs or craft ideas. Anything really! I'm going a little stir crazy just doing my same local walk! And feel like i can't plan my usual trail run adventures right now!
Thanks xx

I got some puzzles from the hospital charity shop and have taken up cross stitching. I've also used the apps Headspace and Insight Timer for meditations and sleep stories. I've done lots of word games online too. The absolute opposite to my normal weightlifting/cross fit sessions! I am really struggling to turn my brain off so I understand what you're going through. My outlet and stress reliever has always been very intense exercise and weight lifting, not being able to do it is tough.
I’m 6 days post transfer and it a killer at mo. Same as you feeling like not worked. I’ve found meditation music has helped and decluttering my home and sorting my wardrobe has helped as I can’t sit still!
Spent my TWW trying new recipes. It was also then that I started meditation. You can do it. You can find activities to distract yourself. The best of luck! x
as many big (flatter) walks in nature as you can fit in, gentle walks just actually taking it all in 🤗 and start a good Netflix series for night times would be my suggestions, good luck 💜 xx
In my latest tww I built a Rolife Book Nook kit from amazon - never did anything like that before and it was brilliant! Doing that with podcasts on meant no room for IVF thoughts in my brain for a solid 8 hours or so. Gearing up for my next transfer and tempted to buy another. Good luck!
My tip for anyone in the 2WW is to create yourself an "advent calendar" - so basically buy yourself 12 - 14 little presents and each day do a lucky dip and open one. Just a little treat to make the time pass a bit easier. I bought myself a bigger present for test day - it did actually take the edge off! xx
The 2WW is like a challenge in itself to do nothing but be mentally and emotionally well balanced! IVF! Lovely suggestions on here. I used my TWW to volunteer with a rescue. Animals make happy so we opened our home to dogs who needed care before moving on their forever homes. It was actually good fun and quite rewarding! Hubby and I planned something every other day too - comedy club, cooking class, sporting events.. the time went really fast. We have our first scan next week.
Thank you so much you lovely people - some really great ideas and suggestions in here! I'm going to try them all. I hope that all of you also waiting get good news! It's the worst - but then i think I'd rather get to test day than wake up with AF.
