Losing weight after gastroenteritis
I'm a 24 y/o woman who suffered from a bout of
gastroenteritis
on holiday two years ago. Prior to this, my weight had always stayed at about 9st 6lbs, however after the immediate weight loss as a result of the illness I've been steadily gaining weight.

Hello I was diagnosed with eosinophilic esophagitis and some inflammation in my stomach (was never told the name, possibly gastritis, eosinophilic
gastroenteritis
??). I treated with glucocorticoids and ppis for 6 months. This was 3 years ago.

Gastroenteritis
. My Dr thinks it's the bacteria in my belly creating bloating and pain. I have been told to take Acidophilus as I am allergic to Dairy.

Severe pain
By the time I went to the doctors last time it had stopped so they just shrugged it off and said probably
Gastroenteritis
even though I wasn't sick and no diarrhea. I've just signed up to this sight because it sounds like it could possibly be IBD?

Appoinment with gastroenteritis
Hi I've not written on this site for a while because I've been managing well with weekly self administered B12 injections . I feel I've been improving slowly and feel like my old self. Thanks to this site and the advise I received I took my health into my own hands. So this brings me to the above mentioned

Medication absorption with Gastroenteritis
Suffering with a nasty bout of
gastroenteritis
at the moment and have had it for about 5 days, no vomiting, just the other. Does anyone know if it would effect absorption of thyroxine?

New poster, Anxiety, Acid Reflux, both?
I never really knew what had happened to me on that holiday - my Greek not being so good, I went to the docs when I got home (mainly because I also ended up with
Gastroenteritis
a few days after my attack, dodgy chinese serving raw duck - worst holiday ever!) was I spiked?

gastroenteritis

Advice needed
I had a severe bout of what the locum told me was
gastroenteritis
. I went to my own doctor when he was back in surgery as it hadn't really cleared. I haven't been given anything to take but had sample stools tested and blood tests. I now have to go for a colonoscopy and am scared witless..

Gastrointestinal symptoms and endo
Then in Jan 2016 I had a really bad bout of what I thought was
gastroenteritis
or a tummy bug. I now seem to get this every 4-6 months. I get nausea, vomiting and very bad diarrhoea. It normally only lasts 24-48 hours but obviously leaves me feeling knackered for about a week afterwards.

Hi, new here!
He was diagnosed at 1 with eosinophilic
gastroenteritis
and now we need another scope. He was negative for celiac at that time but his blood work this time around did suggest it could be celiac , which would be probably the best thing b/c going gluten free, he could heal within a year.

He was scoped at 1 year old and has eosinophilic
gastroenteritis
and now its time for another scope. His father died of colon cancer 6 years ago so this is a scary thing. Hoping to learn a lot and vent when I need it. lol. Looking forward to it all.

Thought I'd give it a go...
Been into hospital and was told I have
gastroenteritis
but obviously that assumption went after a few weeks. Have asked my doctor if the injection could be related and they are adamant it isn't. Had my appendix out In May so have had an ultrasound to check that area.

subclinical hypothyroidy, candidas and blad smell in nose and mouth, bad taste
(cause is not known), So my question is : could my
gastroenteritis
and the bad smell and taste be related to Candidas and should i take levothyroxine for a 6,82 TSH with a 13,3 FT4 ?
