Gastroenteritis

I think I've had gastroenteritis. The dr reckons it's led to post infective IBS. I think I had Covid that started it. My poos are like yellow liquid at the mo. Tried live yoghurt today. What is gastroenteritis. poo like? How long did you have it for? What helped?

Is there any relationship between PMR, prednisolone, and a bout of gastroenteritis please? Topping up electrolytes as advised and sipping water often. Reduced physical activity and food intake are not helping.

Got viral gastroenteritis on holiday 6 wks ago. Since then have spent 3wks in hospital with D&V trying to get on top of it, the pain and hydration. I've lost a stone and half. I'm being investigated for BAM. On so many medicines to try manage sickness, pain and direahea.

So manged to get appointment with a private gastroenteritis on the 11th September hopeing this could be wrong I have 2 children the idea of leaving them or them having to watch there mam die is eating me up instead . Am not sleeping I am obesseing on what a eat.

I've got a gastroenteritis telephone appt next week but 3 weeks on I'm no better. My inflammation levels are extremely high and the doctor said its could be IBD. Any thoughts Thanks

Hi all,I've been taking 1,sometimes 2 laxido sachets daily for the past 3 months and this has helped.My gastroenteritis has suggested swapping for prucalopride 1mg but this gives me all day stomach ache.My question is,is laxido safe to use daily long term?

As a 13yr old I was feeling unwell and GP came round in morning and said I had gastroenteritis. Prescribed Kaolin/morphine medicine and sent me to school. I came back after school, was very ill and GP came round again. He did more checks and called the ambulance. Acute appendicitis.

I've suffered with mental health problems for several years BUT never had stomach issues before the gastroenteritis let me make this clear.

GP thought I might have caught a stomach bug or gastroenteritis. Fast forward another week, and I realise my heart rate is high, I’ve had this before whilst fighting an infection, however, add that to the nausea and occasional chest pain, I took myself to A&E.

Hi everyone, I've had a bad stomach bug since Tuesday evening and has anyone else found that having a stomach bug while pregnant knocks them back into a state of super bad persistent nausea?? Mine was starting to get better before I got ill and now I find it's worse than ever, especially in the evening

Bit of back story: I’ve always had a lot of bowel issues since I was 15years old (now 32), after having gastroenteritis. Since having my first baby December 2021, my bowel issues have got worse.
