Nasty Gastric Virus :(
I had a hight temperature, low blood pressure and low pulse and was diagnosed with a
gastroenteritis
. The pain was worse than giving birth, I just wanted to die. It lasted for a whole week and I'm just starting to feel myself and eating again.

Bit of rant... sorry
I was in due to
gastroenteritis
but with the transplant and all the drugs I couldn't fight it off and i got so dehydrated that my kidney (Kevin) stopped working (or at least slowed down dramatically).

I wrote this September 2003, by way of a thank you to St.Mary's PICU
After examining her, she told that us that she had a
gastroenteritis
type bug, to ensure that she had plenty of fluids, and to treat any fever with Calpol. Iona seemed sleepy and lethargic, but we put this down to a night of continued vomiting and lack of sleep.

update on last weekends madness
They checked his bloods and stools and said he had
gastroenteritis
and this could of caused his eczema to flare up as bad as it did, rather than it being an allergic reaction. Im def going back to the GP next week to see what they say!!!!

Bowel endo or something else?
They thought it was probably
gastroenteritis
but to go to my doctor so they could have a feel of my tummy. So did as suggested but my doctor wasn't sure what's happening! She thinks it could be endo. I wondered if anyone has suffered similar bowel problems due to endo?

No resistance to viruses or infections
I just caught infectious
gastroenteritis
, which my husband shook in a couple days, his mum in a couple days, his dad didn't catch at all, and I ran a high fever for 4 days, and am still having bowel problems.

Gastroenteritis anyone?
I know with all the drugs and painkillers we take the old tummy takes a knocking. But the last 3 days have been hell with sickness and diarhoea. The worse thing is I think it was a dodgy hard boiled egg! :-(
