Hello
Hi I was diagnosed back in Nov '2013, although I have been in pain daily for almost 40 years (mainly due to a broken hip and pelvis), I had never heard of fibro before then, just had my application for PIP declined. How much pain do I have to suffer to qualify??

Trazodone no help sadly
Ruth had been taking trazodone for a month - 50 mg to start with, then 100 mg. She does sleep better but the downside is that she is more listless and dizzy during the day - just wants to stay in bed, whereas normally she still would be more active. She stopped taking it and tried to go 'cold turkey

Gallstones, no symptoms
Hi, I recently went to see my GP as I have begun experience periodic abdominal discomfort (roughly every 2 months). He sent me for an ultrasound and this found that my gallbladder is full of stones. However, he told me that this was not the cause of my symptoms of discomfort as the Gallbladder wall

Gallstones
Hi all, I have no idea whether I'm posting in the right place but here goes. I've been diagnosed with gallstones and the ultrasound shows that I have one 2cm gallstone which I've called Bert. I am due to have my gallbladder removed in October but does anyone know if it's normal to have a dull pain in

L-Tryptophan
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had current research information if taking L-Tryptophan is troublesome to your liver. I know it was taken off the market for a few years then declared ok and is back on the shelves. I take Xanax to help get to sleep and would like to try an alternative less caustic

Food advice
Hi it is ten days after my cholecystectomy and my first day on Health Unlocked. I am so glad and grateful to have the procedure done and only felt nauseous while coming round from the anaesthetic and mint tea is good for that. I am continuing eating a normal diet as advised and all is working well. I

Oophorectomy
So I'm having my ovary removed. My surgeon originally said he was going remove the ovary and keep the tube. Now he's saying he's removing the tube aswell. Is the tube worth saving without the ovary? So bloody confused

NAFLAD - advice please?
Ok so they first found I had a fatty liver back in 2009 but my doctor at the time reassured me it was just one of those things and not to worry. Recently I've been very unwell (they suspected gallstones but have found nothing) and I'm concerned it is my liver. I saw a specialist a few weeks ago who

Surgical menopause and Rheumatoid Arthritis
Following having my ovaries removed I'm in surgical menopause since the end of May. I'm wondering if this could have contributed to the bad flare that I'm having at the moment. Anyone else experienced similar?

Lymphodema after lymph node removal
Hi ladies Just wondering if anyone else has developed Lymphodema. As I had a load of lymph nodes removed I keep getting a mildly swollen right leg. Onc says he thinks it's early/mild Lymphodema so is sending me to the specialist nurse but that won't be for a few weeks. I've booked myself privately in

6 months after oophorectomy still feeling odd
Hello, wondering if anyone else has had similar experience. At 51 years, I had an 8cm endometrioma removed, plus the ovary it was attached to and both fallopian tubes were removed as a precaution against cancer. Since then (now 6 months), it seems like I've gone into menopause and am having lots of hot

Low fat diet? what does that mean?
I have gall stones and am now following a 'low fat' diet while I wait for surgery. Anyone know how much fat in total in one day I should have? Thanks
