On zoladex again!!!!
I've had endo since I was 17 although it wasn't diagnosed until I was 24. I am now 37 and have just had my first new round of zoladex today, I've been having zoladex since 2001 and it doesn't get any easier. I am now on the waiting list for an oophorectomy, my left ovary is definitely being removed,

Medic Alert Products
I don't often ask questions, and although it's not fibro related (for which I apologise, but I trust people here :-) ). I wonder if anyone has any experience with acquiring medic alert products. As well as fibro and various other things I have a blood clotting disorder similar in some ways to haemophilia

Saundrella posted here on Sunday 16th, about the liver protecting properties of NAC or N-Acetyl Cysteine. Does anyone know if it helps PBC?
It's an interesting piece, and my Physio actually mentioned this 'amino-acid' treatment to me the other day (he has other liver issues). However no one has commented back to Saudrella's post so far to say if they KNOW it helps with PBC. As it's the cells of the bile duct that experts think are specifically

Burning Thigh that some of us get, with GCA and PMR, or meralgia paresthetica
Hi, I was newly diagnosed with GCA in May, 2012. I was earlier diagnosed with "burning thigh" or meralgia paresthetica and had a nerve release in 2007. This may help those who aren't sure about their other symptoms. I also had to go to several experts on this, and waited about a year (a year of pain

Is it normal for ALP levels to fluctuate?
I was diagnosed with pbc in December on the basis of AMA and liver biopsy (liver function tests have always been normal). I am not yet on URSO. My lft results today show all levels within normal range but ALP has gone from 54 up to 73 (normal is up to 135). Does anyone know is this sort of fluctuation

Aside from enlarged lymph glands, more so in the abdominal area, my symptoms have been minor. Dr is now suggesting treatment. Which one ?
My counts have been high, but not to the point that I would consider a red alert. Because of lymph node growth in size in my abdominal area and the concern that it could affect the bile duct, my dr wants to start treatment; however he wasn't certain as to which one. Either Ibrutinib or the retuxan +

I had my Gallbladder removed in August of 2013. I was diagnosed with PBC last week. I had high liver enzymes for the last 2 years.
Will not having a gallbladder be harder on my liver?

Is anyone taking or has taken Premarin ?
I've just been prescribed this after my hysterectomy and ovary removal but reading the leaflet that cones with the tablets says it's not recommended if you "have had your womb removed due to endometriosis". Since I have endometriosis and adenmyosis this doesn't to me sound like the right hrt.

I ran across this information today and wanted to share in case you are interested: New PBC Research Trial / UK and US
NEW PBC RESEARCH Lumena is an early stage biotech company focused on better treatment options for adults and children living with rare cholestatic liver diseases. Lumena currently has two compounds aimed at not only carrying a reduced risk of systemic toxicities by selectively targeting a transporter

update on mouth nodual.
had the nodual out yesterday and was told to rest. Thee doc and nurse who did the surgery were very talkative through the minor op. The doc at one point could'nt find it as it was so small, when she did she said it was very gritty. Even so she removed it and sent it for biopsy. I go back in about three

New study: "Low bone mineral density is related to high physiological levels offT4 not to TSH levels below lower reference range."
I came across an interesting study in my weekly alerts from pubmed I have setup, that I should might be useful to some here and I couldn't see it already linked. "Low bone mineral density is related to high physiological levels offT4 not to TSH levels below lower reference range." http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Have any of you started itching when you started URSO?
I was diagnosed with pbc a few weeks ago. LFTs are normal, AMA positive and was diagnosed on the basis of liver biopsy. I have no symptoms at all currently. My consultant has suggested started URSO and I am thinking about it. But I'm really worried about it bringing on itching which I don't currently
