Covid jab and return of PMR symptoms
I had successfully reduced to 3mg after a year of taking pred. A week after having the covid jab as I was supposedly vulnerable my PMR symptoms are bad again. Neck ,shoulders and buttock pains as before. Have gone upto 5mg for the past four days on GPs recommendation but no relief . Had blood test

MRI results show DIE behind uterus and and endometrioma.
Still in shock just home from hspt, been referred to MDT they are suggesting that my choices are full hysterectomy or excision surgery and the mirina. I'm 46 so guess menopause is near but hadn't noticed any symptoms but a surgical menopause seems abrupt. Do people go straight on HRT or do you wait and

After RP who goes over Pathology?
We messaged Surgeon through portal and asked how many lymph nodes removed. He states that pathology will tell us that…Does the medical oncologist go over the surgery pathology?. My husband has great physicians, but definitely confused by these mixed messages of whom is willing to give my husband answers

ALP and when to add 2nd line therapy
I was diagnosed Feb. 2022 ALP was 307. Started URSO right away. ALP went down quickly - In July 2022 it was 107 but October 2022 was 119 and April 2023 was 120. So my specialist wanted to add ocaliva. I convinced him to give it another 6 months before adding anything and he agreed. So I am praying

Advice vanishing bile duct.
My nan had suffered some liver issues due to taking an anti biotic. Alot of scans and tests later a biopsy revealed vanishing bile duct syndrome and a 70% functioning liver. She has now been put on UDCA tablets which have made her very ill. What if she isn't able to take the tablets? I just like

Recent diagnosis & upcoming hysterectomy - what should I expect?
Hello, this is my first post and I am so thankful to have found this group 😄 In the last 5 months, I have experienced surgical menopause, been diagnosed with endo and adenomyosis; and am due to have a hysterectomy in just under a fortnight's time. I only discovered that I had endometriosis 5 months

Surgical menopause - HRT and cutting patches
HeyI had a oophorectomy in June, struggled to get the right balance of estrogen. Finally put on the 100mg patches which have made a difference in terms of I'm not a complete emotional wreck and can function with life better. But I have gained so much weight, I've gone up nearly two dress sizes since

Insights for Pain on right side and back ribs - GERD and non-alcoholic fatty liver (possible bile ducts issues post-gallbladder removal)
I’ve been sorting a problem with GERD (acid reflux) leading to oesophagitis. Also had an ultrasound to check bile ducts as I’ve had my gallbladder removed after disease in 2013. Was told I have mild non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, apparently not unusual in middle age. I couldn’t continue with the

post surgery FLOT decision!
Hi everyone we’ve got an appointment with the oncologist tomorrow to discuss whether or not to have the 4 cycles of FLOT. My husband was staged as T4a N1 or 2 and M0 and it was touch and go whether he could have the surgery. We were told because the tumour was so large and bulky he’d go for a trial dissection
