Update to my 10.1 elf
From previous post where dr wouldn't do scan as elf was under 10.5, which nice guidelines do state, but my concern was my drs think anything upto 10.5 is completely normal range with no other references, I did book a private ultrasound last week which showed nothing at all with my liver not even any

I have a slightly abnormal liver function test. I don't think it's important. Only 2 issues 2 tests 1= alanine 42 and GGT 76 2=Alanine 56 GGT 78 Offered ultrasound, but not sure it's worth doing - don't want to use nhs time because covid. Interested to get feedback.

Suspected gallstones with my compensated cirrhosis
Hi guys, been a while since I've been on here but having some slight concerns about gallstones. My liver seems to have been doing well for the past few years; I'm eating healthy, no booze in 4+ years and exercising daily so feeling fit and healthy which hopefully means my cirrhosis is still at a compensated

Hi, 7 years ago I had serious bowel complications during surgery . I was vein fed for months which gave me gallstones. Things have settled and my bloods are ok,now but I have numerous small stones stuck in common bile duct. They don’t bother me apart from occasional dull pain in gall bladder region.

Gallstones surgery still waiting
I was diagnosed with gallstones three month ago but still haven’t got a letter from the consultant. How long do you wait in Scotland till the surgery? I am in a lot of pain and it’s a long wait ☹️

Hopefully things will Work Out
I have what the call stable cirrhosis of the liver, supposedly the lowest form. I did have a gallstone for the last three years and had ultrasound a month ago and now GI tells me there’s no gallstone anymore. How can that be with no kind of treatment or meds?

Relief at last - only taken 3 years
Well I am now day 5 of taking pregablin & fingers crossed I am feeling so much better, it seems to be managing the pain & I have only had to take oramorph once & that was only because I panicked when I woke up with a bit of cramping. Day one was fun as I felt as high as a kite & didn’t stop smiling all

Awaiting results, going insane 🙈😢
I recently had a ultrasound as I’ve been feeling awful... the lovely lady said to call for results as I have yet the receptionist had said I can’t get a call for 2 weeks. My question is would they have told me at the scan if it was anything bad? All she said was no gallstones 🤷♀️ I’m a born worrier

Help with ibs symptoms
Hi, I have just been diagnosed with ibs after 3 years of pain. Had countless tests, the most recent being a defecating proctogram, this showed up a full circumferential inussuception, rectocele & entrocele. I’ve also had a capsule endoscopy which showed all the markers still in my left small bowel.

I had a colonoscopy years ago - as I had a positive screening for blood (because I had a haemorrhoid). Years later these sent me another bowel screening kit - and I thought that it would be another false-negative, so I did not bother sampling or sending. Years after that (two years ago) I had lower abdominal

What is the maximum time you can be on prostap 3 injections?
I have been on prostap 3 since October 2020, with add-back HRT, Tibolone, since January 2021, almost 8 months. I'm due to have the next prostap 3 injection next month. I'm on the waiting list for an "urgent" (been waiting almost 9 months); hysterectomy, cyst and ovary removal, with bowel involvement

Could this be Lupus? A very long journey...
Hello all! I've been suffering for 30 or so years with many symptoms. Since puberty I have suffered with absent seizures, hand shakes, joint pain so bad I can't walk, stiff hands in the mornings (my little fingers get locked and need to be manipulated), stuttering (when I'm not feeling good), rashes

Letter from Hep Consultant PBC
Hi received my letter from the consultant - Primary Biliary Cirrosis! instead of Primary Biliary Cholangitis. I was horrified to find the name changed in 2016 and not sure I have much faith in his approach. At no point does it mention Cholangitis, I have a Fib4 score of 5.34 no idea what that means.

Worrying
Hi I have been having multiple tests since having elevated liver enzymes GGT was >400 and ALT>200. I found out today that I also have smooth muscle antibodies does this mean it’s AIH? I’m waiting for a fibro scan appointment and also more blood results. I did phone the helpline and the lady was so helpful
