Some new crappy symptoms
Hi friends....a few days ago I started having some new, and pretty severe, symptoms at 5am. How weird is THAT? So for the past few days, at around 5am, I am awakened with severed pressure in my upper back between my shoulder blades, terrible nausea, and pain that radiates through my rib cage, on the

Op in a week !!
Hi ladies, just over a week until my full hysterectomy and double oopherectomy. Must admit, am getting very nervous now, but also looking forward to being hopefully pain free after so many years. Has anybody been through this operation and could give me some reassurance and advice please? X x

Need to lose weight before next embryo transfer 🙏🏻
Hi So recently I have gone through one and a half years of IVF. One fresh cycle and two frozen transfers. I was a little on the heavy side to start but after three failed transfers I have really packed on the pounds. I am now 11.10 which is really pushing the BMI limit for treatment. We plan to go

Never too old to keep fit!
Have just spent a couple of days with my trim 84 year old mother and her slim childhood friend also 84. We took them walking, all kitted out properly in hiking boots, and they happily walked and chatted for a 3 mile woodland walk, stopping only for our sandwiches in a lovely riverside spot. Not only

Second hepatology appointment
Hi just thought I would update you on my progress, I have now been prescribed the urso, x3 per day. I am now waiting on the liver biopsy date, my specialist wants me to wait to take the urso until after the biopsy as the urso may change the biopsy findings. I have also been given a cream for the itch

Hi everyone, I am on W&W and every now and then I feel pain in my groin area. My lymph nodes are swollen in my neck area and my groin. I get sharp pain sometimes in my groin area and I was told by my doctor this was because of my swollen lymph nodes. Has anyone else experienced this? My numbers are

More confused than ever!
Hi, Everyone. I just got the results from my liver biopsy and the results are normal! I know I should be jumping for joy but I just don't have a warm feeling about it. Prior to this, my LFTs were ALP =513, ALT = 450; GGT = 750, cholesterol = 10.6, Fibroscan = 14.8, BMI = 17.3, AMA negative, and B12

Brilliant low fat recipes - Hairy Bikers
Because of my recent
Gallbladder
removal
I have had to go on a low fat diet and I cook meals from scratch most days. These books are brilliant, very easy, use ingredients that are usually in your store cupboard and show calories per portion. I done five so far and me and my kids love them.

My lovely garden
My daughters did me a very quick garden makeover when I was told my tumour had returned. I had moved into my new home in December, so I had my first chemo session yesterday, it's going very well up to now, I am sitting in the sun behind glass and really enjoying the moment, reading others posts on this

ANA positive?
A little confused about my ANA test. Result says positive. Flag for abnormal. Reference interval - negative? Does tgis mean it's positive? BC my dr didn't explain and she just kind of brushed me off...again. Rashes still pop up randomly every day. And tired. So tired of being tired. : (

New.. Help!!
Hi All, I'm really new here but worried and wondered if you could offer any advice? I had some blood tests done this week as my GP suspected I might have gall stones (bit of discomfort generally in the tummy, not just upper abdomen) and a couple of my lf tests were slightly elevated. My GGT was 95 and

Total LAVH hysterectomy with adhesiolysis - still in pain
Hi. I hope someone can help me. I had decades of pelvic pain which was helped by my taking the combined pill in my 20s (not allowed it post 30 due to migraines....). I had several pelvic ultrasound scans which didn't show anything untoward and a laparoscopy in 2007 which showed no signs of endometriosis

Home at last
Hi everyone. Well as you can guess I'm finally home after hysterectomy, ovary removal and excision surgery on Thursday afternoon. Took a bit longer due to complications after surgery. But I must say I feel fantastic. I'm in no pain just find I get tired very easily. Really was expecting it to be worse

Emotional
Hi hope everyone is as well as can be. I'm due to have hysterectomy (due to adenomyosis), ovary removal and excision on Thursday. I'm 42 with no children. I thought I had come to terms with this but the last few days I just feel so emotional. Anyone else who has had a hysterectomy did you feel like this
