Help with hills
I know hills are good for
fitness
but I’m feeling so defeated. It’s seems to be getting harder rather than easier! Can anyone offer any advice? Will it get easier? I’m thinking of setting up intervals on my Garmin to run / walk. I would really appreciate any words of wisdom. Thanks, Tracey

Week 4, run 2...
I was really apprehensive about how much of the
fitness
I built up at the beginning I've retained, but I'm now 2 runs into week 4 and I'm very proud to say I'm SMASHING IT!!

8 and a half months post transplant
So I’ve only missed this week although I did go in Friday afternoon to see my class 😊and I start back, initially only for Thursdays and Fridays on the 29th 😊😊😊😊 xx I still get breathless but not anxious because I now know it is poor breathing technique and lack of
fitness
rather tha ‘dodgy’ lungs

That's cheered me right up!
I've never looked at it before and I don't really get how it works, but it tells me that I have the
fitness
age of a 34 year old and I'm 50! Love it! 😂👏😀

Times have changed
After this run, I decided it was definitely not for me and tried to find a
fitness
programme online that I liked the music for... (I failed) Went out for a run today with N. She laughed at me the whole way round! Running is soooooo boring! Still no ambulance required... Times have changed!

Broken wrist and running
Hi everyone, not been on here for a while so good to be back😀 I graduated in June last year and have been regularly running ever since for fun and
fitness
. However, I slipped on black ice in mid Feb (not whilst running, thankfully)and smashed my right wrist, both radius and ulna).

Done it !!!
Wow feeling delighted ☺ just completed my week 9 run 3 and managed to run 5.07km in 30mins, it was tough going though and I really struggled through the last 10 mins, I may just run 5km 3 times a week from now on but at an easier pace until times improve with
fitness
, but over the moon for now, thank

Feeling Better Post Run? Not getting a runners high.
My reason mainly for doing this was to try and help my mental health (I suffer with depression) and
fitness
due to Lockdown (like many others). My question is this... I do not feel a "high" or sense of real achievement after the runs. I've read that post exercise we should feel better.

1st Runniversary!
And I love the NHS
fitness
website! I got to try out all sorts of digital free apps, from the original C25k app, Runkeeper’s hilarious voices, NRC’s audio guided runs, Strava’s social aspects. I love programming my tabatha timer intervals app.

Watch and wait benefit?
My dad has just been diagnosed with CLL, he is 51 years old and relatively healthy, his health/
fitness
has deteriorated over the past 12 months to where he is tired almost all the time. The doctor has suggested he doesn’t have any treatment yet and just watches and waits.

VWBs: What apps do you use for S&F
It was the first
fitness
app I ever had, and I remember selecting movement routines I could do in the garden, e.g. not sitting or lying and definitely no jumping!

Lifelong chest aches & pains?
Working hard on my
fitness
and my diet etc. However, I still get a considerable amount of chest discomfort. Aches, pains, numbness and tightness. Nothing overly serious that makes me worry I need to go to the GP just uncomfortable and tiring at times.

Eye pain
Do others have the same body-response when trying to increase their
fitness
? I can walk, briskly, up hills for about 20 minutes and then a further 20 mins on the flat and I’m ok. But walking for an hour on the flat, really makes my eye hurt and my forehead feel bruised for the next day or two.

You can do this
Outdoor
fitness
classes from July to early October but what to do in the winter? Last October I started walking 5,000 steps minimum daily. Then Couch to 5k. That first week was not good. Run for how long? Puffing and panting in the walk breaks. I can't do this.

Post op tips?
I know it’s a good 6 weeks at least before I can do proper exercise again, but any tips for what is possible
fitness
wise before? And do any of you have any experience about how long it takes to be able to do light yoga and things like that again? Thank you!!!

Slower Pace Logged As Brisk Walk Not Run
My question is that my
Fitness
tracker logged my exercise as a brisk walk and not a run as normal. Did I slow it down too much or should I not worry? 🙂
