What to do about shin splints...
If rest is the best cure, how can I balance that against running without losing my
fitness
? :( at the same time, I’m conscious that the worst the shin splints get, the longer I’d have to rest to heal. Any tips? ❤️

Lost the plot with my fitness
I am trying to do a bit of walking but I do get breathless but not sure if this is due to the AF/AT, heart disease, weight gain or just that I have lost
fitness
. I really not sure how I get out of this mindset which is beginning now to worry me.

Working slowly back to
fitness
after a long break, this week saw a slow 30 minute run and my first 5k since the break. Pleased as I was, there was part of me a bit disappointed that both runs were way slower than when I did c25k. Today though... well.....

Leg aches, causes?
It's really annoying and it's holding me back as I'm trying to build my
fitness
so that I can hopefully do a half marathon later this year. Has anyone experienced this? Hopefully there is a cause I can tackle, maybe a deficiency of some kind?

W9✅........Graduation Day🏃♀️🥳🤩....Chuffed to bits!
Not only has it helped with my physical
fitness
, but it’s also helped me with my mental well-being and managing chronic pain. I have even been able to reduce my intake of pain killers, something I’ve been wanting to do for a while.

Online activities
I’ve seen that Mencap are doing a
fitness
class via zoom but I wondered whether there were any other activities going on via Zoom for people with learning disabilities that she could get involved with that anyone knows about? Thanks

Run after a few days break.
Strangely the urge to run...which I normally wake up with everyday didn't return and I think if I'd sat doing nothing for another week I'd have probably returned to the bad old days
fitness
wise! This morning I decided to put my kit on and get out for a 5k... It felt rough!

Back at it and feeling good
Feeling good and pleased I don't seem to have lost too much
fitness
. Can't wait to get back up to 5km! Or nearly, I was just 50m short which is probably why I hurt my knee. This programme really does achieve miracles. Having said that it would have been so easy to stop altogether.

Hi everyone - mini update
As it turns out, I've been managing to get myself out at least once a week regardless of weather (twice if lucky and three times is just a pipe dream at the moment) to try and maintain some level of
fitness
.

AstraZenica and possible breathing probs
I have a very warm long & wide scarf that i keep near my mouth to help me breath in warm air-but its very worrying as I was walking very freely before my vaccine and unless I had a flare-up of COPD then my
fitness
level wasnt too bad-not as good as pre 1st lock down a year ago but Ive been walking 6000
