W9R2 on a bitterly cold April day.
But considering the 1m runs in week 1 were hard work I’m quite happy with that as my
fitness
has obviously improved immensely during the C25K programme. Hitting the 5K target in 30 mins can wait a few more weeks! Given the minor niggles on my last run this was a great run.

Couch to 5K -Week 3 Run 3
Enjoying it so far, I am trying to raise my
fitness
for my annual
fitness
assessment, I am an on-call firefighter based in Shropshire. We are stretching before runs as well as doing cool down stretches afterwards, which appears to be helping.

Spreading runs over 3 days?
So my question is, is it ok to spread runs out over a few days rather than doing alternate days or will that really slow down the build up of
fitness
?

Stayed away from
fitness
all my life and now starting this journey. Going to start at the weekend when I don’t have my daughter so can get out in the morning and start. Should I start on soft or hard ground?

Runniversary & Keep on keeping on!
And I love the NHS
fitness
website! I got to try out all sorts of digital free apps, from the original C25k app, Runkeeper’s hilarious voices, NRC’s audio guided runs, Strava’s social aspects. I love programming my tabatha timer intervals app.

Another sunny 3.5K to build my run frequency back up 😁
I may do another 3.5 or 4K next time , Im not sure yet but I'm more interested in regaining
fitness
and avoiding injury . As we know , we don't always realise what we have got untill we loose it . I have noticed also that my loss of
fitness
shows in my splits !

Just wanted to say "hello"
That I can do things that I never thought I could and to find the amazing effect running and
fitness
in general have on my mental wellbeing. I fell in love with circuit training so tend to spend more time doing that, but I still enjoy the occasional run.

Tiny 3k run... did I say tiny?
It’s great to retrace the early routes, and experience how far one has come in one’s
fitness
journey! Happy running everyone!

What the best app to use when tracking ur fit journey
I've just started my
fitness
journey an i have decided i want to record my progress in each week , I do alot of walking but don't know how to track the places I've been , im rubbish with technology but know there has to be an app of some kind ,ideally I'd like an app that suggests routes aswell as tracks

Your first bone marrow biopsy?
I am a
fitness
nut and I went running two days after the procedure and had no difficulties. I would end by saying that the drugs worked well enough and the person who performed my biopsy does it as a full time job, 3-4 times per day, and has been doing so for 20 years.

How much pain is too much pain??
I did 2 months of walking first (one hour a day) to try and improve my
fitness
to a point where I could attempt this and was feeling very nervous but also very excited to try. My problem is this, week 2 run 2 and I'm really struggling with knee pains.

Runniversary 5K run ☀️
Now that I’m settled here at my Dad’s, I’ll work hard to get back to my former
fitness
and hope to run another half marathon when I am fitter. So far, I’ve only managed a 10K here.

Started all over again
I have never felt the need to compete with anyone else in terms of distance or speed - I’m just doing it for my own enjoyment and
fitness
. One lesson I have brought with me from last time is ***short steps***. It would be useful if C25K stressed the importance of this more for beginners.
